Will there still be interest in Mayweather - Canelo?

A good win and performance from Cotto, would that warrant a Floyd rematch?

Would that raise the level of Floyds Cotto fight result?

    Yes

Yes, as it would do for everyone else that's beaten Cotto

If Cotto wins it's Floyd v Cotto II - Cotto makes a fortune and Canelo gets found out - Canelo is tough, has power, fast hands and is clever but he lacks movement, he's a bit flat footed. Cotto has to capitalise on that if he can

Canelo then loses his reputation, we have to admit his lack of movement is a big weakness and we have to all hope Pacquiao can regain form and resurrect the superfight... :)

Though gotta say, the above would surprise as Trout outboxed Cotto, has good movement and a longer reach and couldn't do it but you never know in boxing

A lot of *****s are really terrified at the prospect of Canelo, aren't they? I think Floyd beats him quite clearly.

Yes because Canelo is a good boxer, he is not a slugger and he is a thinker. I don't think Floyd beats him clearly though.

A bad performance from Canelo against Cotto will have the *****s and Floyd saying that there is no need to fight Canelo because Floyd beat him more convencily.

A good performance from Canelo, even a KO, and the *****s will be saying Canelo is too big, a rehydration clause will be needed. And the excuses will start from there, ala Pac and the PED accusation.

It's a lose lose for Canelo.

Also, A bad performance from Canelo will have the boring anti-Mayweather brigade claiming "he waited for a bad performance and then decided he wanted to fight him" similar to what people claimed after Pac v Marquez 3
