Using Letterman as a source doesn't help your arguement at all. He even scored the final round for Toney when it was clearly Griffin's .

This poster speaks the truth, albeit somewhat ruthlessly.

You prove your lack of understanding of boxing yet again. If there was one problem Toney had that hindered him from being a truly elite fighter, as talented as he was, it was his lack of footwork and ring generalship. Against fat, un-skilled, slow HW's it's easier to get by with these things than against lighter, more skilled movers like Jones Jr., Hopkins, Kalambay, Nunn, etc. All fighters that would've (and did in Jones and Nunn's case) expose Toney's issues with movement. If Nunn wasn't every bit as lazy and non-dedicated as Toney, he'd have won that fight. A guy like Kalambay would beat him wide.

Toney looked better in the first McCallum fight than at any other point in his career, calling him green is utterly ridiculous. Not only that, but it was an extremely close fight that could've easily went either way against an aged McCallum. That shouldn't be held too much against Toney, considering how effective McCallum still was, but it does put into perspective Toney's chances against the top MW's.

Look at what Jermain Taylor did to Hopkins Twice and multiply that by a million.

Ok, I listened to you Hopkinssexual crap, that made little sense, now you pay attention, to your Father, JP.

Fighters Hopkins fought who Toney is light years ahead of, skills wise. Jermain Taylor and Joe Calzaghe.

Results: Bernard Hopkins getting his ass beaten twice by the same guy and schooled by a Limey. Toney gets occasionally dropped because he is fearless and doesnt clinch like a little ***** like Bernard Hopkins. Jermain Taylor isnt even worthy to spar Toney, baby.

Toney manhandled Rahman last time out. Do you follow boxing sweetie? Check out the fight on YouTube. We had that muscle bound Thunder in Africa MOFO on the run, and nearly hitting the canvas early, after a decent right hand. Rahman QUIT in the ring, rather than get KAYOED. I hope he wins against Clitschko, because if he does, Toney will be breathing down his neck.

Point in fact is that a Rahman punch, solidly landed against Hopkins would put his overrated ass in the hospital, and Rahman is light years stronger than Uncle Tom, I mean Bernard. :hat

Toney was at his best at supermiddleweight. I favour Toney at supermiddleweight, at middleweight Hopkins may edge a close fight.

I really think Toney embarrasses a prime Hopkins. Hops doesnt fare well against slick counterpunchers.

I respecfully disagree with your first statement. I think Toney looked better against Iran Barkley and Tim Littles. Anyway, he did very well against McCAllum and Hopkins would certainly have his hands full with that version of Toney.

Against Barkley he was up against a shot, slow, tailor made opponent for him, therefore we didn't get to see him really tested by an elite like he was against McCallum, even if his performance was damn near flawless. Still, Barkley's detioriorated physical ability and general style made him ready to serve against Toney. And against Littles I actually thought the fight was pretty even with Littles giving Toney problems prior to the stoppage. Very good performances nonetheless, the McCallum fight just proved more to me about him.

In what fight....has Bernard Hopkins won with constant movement. Other than Pavlik in which he clinched and fought on the inside as well. To even say that Bhop fights with the movement of Jone Jr or Nunn is utterly ****ing ******ed. Bhop has to get in close to get the job done. He does not have long reach like Nunn. He does not have the quick bursts of Jones. Bhop moves well against plodding guys. JT is not quick on his feet but is not plodding. Again stay in your lane and stick to disney channel ****.
