Wilder 2. He was just running and throwing slap punches against Klitschko, overrated grimmy performance
This. Far superior opposition. Evenpoor opposition like of Spzilka, Washington and Ortiz have out boxed Wilder over numerous rounds untill Wilder landed the KO punch against poor opposition.
Against Wlad he was in far better physical shape, in his prime, hadn't ravaged his body with 2 years of booze, drugs, depression and having to lose basically a small human being in body weight to get back into shape like the version that fought Wilder. But then again the version that fought Wilder in the 2nd fight while physically less impressive was a more complete fighter and was more off an offensive machine combined with his long range boxing skills. So I'd say physical peak was vs Wlad but in terms of skills it was Wilder. Much like Ali before and after his forced exile two slightly different fighters, but unlike Ali I don't think Fury was ever that physically gifted just big so I think the Wilder version is probably the better version.
For Usyk I think Wlad Fury. A few things about the Wlad fight people usually gloss over. - Fury had a fat camp for that fight and admitted he felt weaker than he should have, lost too much muscle. He still landed a few decent shots on Wlad and stunned him, but in better condition he might have done better offensively. - Wlad was super defensive too which means there weren't too many opportunities to counter punch. The point is, if Fury is in that condition the right way, without his binge eating/dieting, he is very fast and agile for his size. Even Wilder I he was closer to this and was light on his feet. There's no proof he has more power with the extra fat on him now. He actually hurt Wilder a number of times in the first fight but didn't follow up. So his power should be okay if he sits down on punches. Then if he fights someone with more output like Usyk or AJ, he can counterpunch more and perhaps just be more aggressive when he has success there. That to me is better than plodding looking for the KO and eating shots to the head (which he did in Wilder II as well, and Wilder was close to doing real damage in the early rounds).
Too defensive against Wlad But Fury has never been a natural puncher he stops people through attrition which is something he did not plan to try against Wlad Depressed Fury would have gone to war and made old man Wlad quit. Might have got hurt in the process but that would just make Wlad gas out and fall over.
I don't understand why people think Fury's performance against Wlad is over rated. Not a single person in existence has ever outboxed Wlad to victory, literally not one, besides Fury. Wlad was outdone and outsmarted. But Fury vs Wilder 2 was Fury at 100% and no one in HW boxing today would beat that.
To me, as a beginner in boxing knowledge it always seemed to be in the Fury Vs Wlad fight; Fury defeated Wlad with Wlad weapons (on Wlad field). But if I were to choose who would win the Fury (from the fight with Wlad) VS Fury (from the fight with Wilder 2), I would bet on Fury (from the fight with Wilder 2). In that fight, Tyson Fury has more life experience and is more experienced as a fighter. And I still think it was the peak of Tyson Fury (Wilder 2).
