After Vitali takes care of Maskeav ( let's hope he can pick better ), he will have a chance at a big time fight.

If Haye beats Wlad ( I doubt Haye wins, but lets say he does ) , Vitali gets to fight Haye next. At stake will be the IBF, WBO, and WBC belts. The fight would be huge.

If Wlad ices Haye, I get the hunch Vitali will fight the winner of Valuev vs Chagaev, with the WBA and WBC belts up for grabs.

Either way, there is a good chance a big career defining fight looms for Vitali.

    I agree.
Vitali vs Maskaev is set in stone?I doubt it even happens.
Hopefully Haye beats Wlad and then a real blockbuster fight between Vitali and Haye happens.Should have happened anyway.
Doubt it will happen like this though,Vitali will probably end up fighting Arreola.

I am hoping that Haye beats Wlad so Vitali can become undisputed champ.

Yes a big match does loom, but with Arreola.

Why do people think the WBA champ would unify? I've seen this speculated in a number of posts, but there's never even a hint of it from the fighters that I've heard. I also remember rumours of (unfortunately) Ruiz with a promised shot.

As much as I'd hope a unification to happen, I've never seen any evidence that it will. The WBA seems to be its own little universe.

Haye is faster and almost as tall as Corrie Sanders, and hits almost as hard as far as we can tell.

Don't be ignorant man. I'm picking Wlad but since when is a fighter having confidence in himself a bad thing, and since when does your national heritage dictate how well you fight? I've seen alot of trash talking americans get iced.. same rule apply?

Well, just put that Maskaev fight on ESPN as well. Not worthy of HBO or Showtime. Sure as hell not worthy of a PPV. Look for Maskaev to last about the same amount of time Hatton did last night.

I hope Chagaev put the giant into retirement for good, and then fight Vitali! but on the other hand i would actually like to see Vitali vs Valuev aswell, who wouldn`t like to see and hear the sound when 330 pound hit the canvas!:yep

Vitali will take on the winner of the Chambers/Arreola and Chambers will beat Arreola.

And it will be Chambers vs Vitali, and I will predict that Chambers will beat Vitali.

This is just my prediction of the future.

When Freddie Roach explained the fight between Pacquiao/Delahoya, Roach said that Delahoya's skills have degraded when he fought Steve Forbes, and he was right. I see the same thing when Vitali fought Carlos Gomez, I thought his skills erodued, this was not the same Vitali that beat Corrie Sanders.

His brother Wladimir is a much better boxer than Vitali, more complete too. I don't think Vitali is the unstoppable boxer that he once was. First things first, I want to see Chambers vs Arreola for the WBC mandatory spot.

Are you crazy? Chambers barely edged a fat Sam Peter 6 rounds to 4, and was gun shy. Vitali would beat Chambers easy.

The Klitchko's have an advantage with every fighter at heavyweight. If Vlad is beaten by Haye, then Vitali will fight him. So they have 2 chances to beat one fighter. Good odds in their favor. Vitali would probably beat Haye in the case that Vlad loses.

One of the judges had Chambers winning by a wide margin. I don't think Vitali is as good as he was before, (no disrespect to him) obviously because of his age and the long lay-off.

Chambers has no chance against Wladimir, against Vitali he does have a chance.
