Batawang will take the IBF belt back to Manila. Okay, maybe you hate me already but let's check my analysis first. First of all, Solis is an excellent champion. And I know what he brings to the table. Power, skills and heart as he showed against Mayol. But he has been off for quite some time. And he didn't just not fought. He was nurding an injury. You can use all the argument that "he's healed", "the doctor's say so", "he has enough time to recuperate" and such. But only the boxer himself knows how he exactly feels. And I have a gut feeling he won't be too sure on using that hand. Next, Solis showed against Mayol that he's not exactly invincible. Okay, as always, guys will argue that he came back etc. etc. Look, the point is, a man who can whack can take him out. And Batawang surely does. Next, onto the challenger. Looking at his age, he surely looks like an opponent cashing in on a last payday. Plus, his record indicated that he last fought on Feb. There lies a misconception. While he doesn't have a fight, Batawang is maintaining himself in training. He had a long stint with Fredie Roach, and he sparred continously with his stablemates AJ Banal, Z Gorres among others. Nextve judged a few of Batawang's fight. He has an underrated boxing skill. Okay, Solis is a much better technician, but he isn't far behind. You could argue that he is slow. I concede that wholeheartedly. But that logic is very deceiving. Overall he looks slow, but his hands isn't. If he was, I surely bet he won't get as good a record which isn't exactly built on weak opposition. He's also good in cutting off the ring should the champion chose not to trade and just box his way to victory. Just my hunch, it will be veryclose, but Batawang wins by decision in a fight both men will be in deep trouble.
Are you predicting it because of Nationalism or by Heart???? What's your mind telling you??? Based on your hunch prediction in the past, I'm not gonna buy your prediction. You pick Hatton & Mosley right??? But I wish you are right. Go Pinoy!!!!:good
