Can anyone remember, or name a boxer from either in the past or present...whether active or not, who you think possessed genuine KO power...yet said boxer's power didn't convert into a high KO percentage? The boxer may have been defensive orientated, or wasn't the greatest finisher, or said boxer may have been in with very tough opposition... Random question, but it popped in my head last night whilst I was playing pool...which makes it even randomer. :good
Many people (I was one of them) thought that Adrian Diaconu had genuine power. He's supposed to hit very hard but his KO percentage is only 54%! He may hit hard but is not able to land his big shots flush on his opponents. At the other end, his team mate Lucian Bute, who is seen as a technician, ha an 81% KO percentage. His skills allow him to land his best punches.
Alexander Abraham....the brother of King Arthur Abraham hits harder than Arthur and isn't even a middleweight.
Jermain Taylor, Kendall Holt, and Mike Arnaoutis all have relatively low KO percentages but can really whack when they sit down on their punches.
Clottey looks like he hits hard....he can snap your neck nearly off your head, but he doesn't throw enough punches.
