A boxing match fought outdoors in the rain, barefoot

Referee Nat Fleischer. Thailand,then Siam.

 

I seem to recall one of the guys on the undercard of Michael Bentt vs Herbie Hide doing the same thing. He started out the fight wearing shoes. Then he took them off after the first or second round.

 

I believe the bout had to be stopped at one point for them to remove a shard of glass from Carruthers' foot after some of the overhead lamps exploded.
