    A bit off topic I know but the vast majority of hopkins opposition have been middleweights or higher. The only opponents who could be blown up were fellow title holders. No boxer worth his salt would say "i aint unifying with him because he used to fight at a lower weight class"

    In this current era the prize is unification. Their are many different ways to be considered "the man" but I think everyone would agree that the man with all 5 main belts is indeed "the man".

    For example if you take martinez right now, considered by all to be "the man" but it clearly strengthens his claim if he unifies with the other 4 beltholders, regardless of whether chavez is a bum or geale and pirog are unproven. Yes every so often the wrong guys have belts but the hype surrounding unifications negates that, just look at wlad - haye now. Mos def.

    To be honest, I'm actually quite serious about this. It's getting quite boring and embarrassing, always having these pointless protracted arguments on every thread. I'm quite willing to respond to Headbanger privately if he ever wishes to contact me by PM, in order to free up the General Forum from having to suffer these tedious exchanges.

    The alternative is me cutting and pasting my challenge which Headbanger is unable to meet every time I see his biased, hate-filled ramblings on any thread. The choice is his.
