Canelo would be competitive, but GGG is still stronger, smarter, bigger, and more versatile. Only advantages Canelo might have is speed and youth, but speedwise GGG is real tricky, he's great as changing up his speed.

Canelo by decision, GGG isn't fast enough and Canelo has better defense. Most of Cotto's shots were being slipped Canelo cleans up his accuracy a bit on his counters and he takes a clear competitive decision.

I'm as convinced that Canelo loses to GGG as I was that Cotto would be outmatched by Canelo.

But Canelo has a better chance against GGG.

Canelo couldn't hurt the midget yesterday. At 160, Golovkin will walk through him.

For me it will be the most shocking results since I follow boxing closely (for about 10 years now.) The most shocking at the moment is still Marquez KO of Pac.

I would say Canelo is a live dog against GGG. But GGG all the way, let's hope the fight gets made.

Hhmmm... well the SUN could come up from the WEST before Canelo beats GGG !!!

O$CAR clearly doesn't want Canelo in the same ring with GGG !!!

I read that as there would be no opportunity for a " REMATCH " .

    IMO... that says it all!

    ;)

Sure he would. Golovkin is king of hypothetical matchups. "Most feared man in boxing" yet plays the risk/reward card whenever Ward or Lara's names are brought up.

When they fight, I'm siding with Canelo. GGG's soft touches are NOT prepping him for top level opposition and he ain't getting any younger. You'll see.
