A career comparison. Marquez, Barrera and Morales.

The only fighter to beat Pac in his true prime was Marquez. Morales beat a younger Pac but Pac was lacking in skills.Marquez knocked out Pac when his physicality and his skills were prime.

 

Pacquiao looked good, but it wasn't a prime Pacquiao.

 

Regardless it was a very faded Barrera. I think both prime Barrera and Morales would've beaten Marquez.

 

As an unbiased fan of all three, this is how they rank:

Erik Morales
Juan Manuel Marquez
Marco Antonio Barrera

If anyone has Barrera higher than Morales, stop embarrassing yourself.

 

Now this is laughable Marquez at number two outside of Manny what else does he have ?

 

I said; " If anyone has BARRERA higher than MORALES, stop embarrassing yourself.".....

Morales has the better wins, and Morales also beat the men that beat Barrera.

 

Some of you seem to be under the impression that all JMM ever did was KTFO6.:-(


Marquez arguably beat Pac in 3 different divisions. He's also a 3 division world champ(4th div was stolen from him). That alone is enough to place him above Morales and MAB.

Personally I'm a big fan of all three and don't care where they're ranked against each other but Marquez in the very least belongs with MAB, MOrales and Pac .:deal

 

Marquez' longevity has IMO done more than enough for him to be placed above MAB and Morales.

I personally thought he went 2-1-1 against Manny and had the most convincing win in their 4 matches. I also loved his fights at lightweight against Baby Bull and kastidis, those were just epic wars. He's won titles in multiple weight classes and has achieved a longer level of success than those other 2 great Mexican fighters.

 

Arguably and actually doing it are two different things ..But honestly outside of Manny who else stands out on his resume ? old Casamayor ?Juan Diaz ?

Marquez for sure has worked his way up in the Mexican legends catagory .Shame he lost to Bradley after his most brilliant performance he should have hung them up right there ..

 

But Barrera beat Morales

 

Shot Morales humiliating Pac and shot JMM knocking out Pac cold were great wins.
