I might have been my country's best fighter.World champion who beat England's best in my division.Today underated, but none tougher, nor more rugged. Who am I.?
    P.S. not a Hollywood type...

    A couple of guesses:

Pancho Villa, who beat Jimmy Wilde, could be a candidate...
though I don't think, you could call him underated today.

On the other hand, we don't hear much about Canada's Jack Delaney these days.
He beat Frank Moody, so he could fit the profile...
though I'm not sure about the "not a Hollywood type".

    Gotcha B.
Not Pancho Villa ,or the handsome,Ovila Chapdelaine[Jack Delaney].My guy beat 2 of Europes most underated 160-75 pounders ,and NOT because of his looks.A great forgotten fighter today...

K,You nailed it Marcel Thil was possibly France's greatest fighter, after a journeyman beginning, became VERY hard to beat in his prime beating the likes of Lou Brouillard, Gorilla Jones,Vince Dundee, Kid Tunero, and to of Britain's very best middleweights,Len Harvey and Jock McAvoy.Good show...
