How did pac get a shot at Hatton? Haye was undisputed at cruiser. there's nobody good or more deserving at heavy, they're all fat and rubbish.
haye backs out of one fight and its now a laughing stock...wlad and vitali bakced out of 5 fights collectivly and...... doesnt matter anyways valuev is gettign topled form his very high perch
I'd give another reason - because he wanted it! Almost all of the recent Wlad's opponent have almost been dragged into the ring. And only ones who'd be ready for the fight were old veterans looking for some cash before the retirement. And a fight with them wouldn't prove much. And then comes Haye - newbie in a division but a unified champion of a lower weight. I disagree that there weren't any more deserving heavy (and at least Chambers chows some decent fights), but all of them suddenly "had their own plans", or injuries.
yea but before that, Hopkins hadn't fought in Light Heavy since June 06. Plus, they fought at a 173 catchweight. So actually when you think about it, Bernard hasn't faught a official Light Heavyweight contest in about 3 years now. Wow. o_o ALSO, facing a fighter 5 pounds higher isnt as much as fighting 190 cruiserweights to fighting a 320 pound man like Valuev. You've been fighting cruiserweights and little guys all your career and now you all of a sudden beat some small heavy like Barret, think you can hang with the big boys like Klits and Valuev? Umm no... He might KO Valuev, but he will get tired and he will have trouble.
I'm only gonna say this once; Valuev ain't ****, if Haye can take the belt off him, I'm all for it, BTW Haye beat Barrett down much better than Valuev who went 11 rds & was badly rocked as well.
