    Got you :good

Yea I have picked up the terrible habit of leaning back, ALOT. Along with that the years of being out of the gym, and only hitting a punching bag made me lazy with my guard too. And every time I keep my guard up like you should, I usually have good results.

I know the new vid isn't much, but it's enough to see just how much work I need to be decent again, along with stamina.

    Thanks man.

Yea sparring is the last part of the day, and is especially tough for a guy like me, who just doesn't have the stamina anymore.

In the gym I train at (Bushido MMA gym) all the pro's and mma guy's who do strictly boxing always like to do sparring last, or close to last, as they say they want everyone to be good and warmed up. Which I can understand because the guys that are there everyday aren't even close to tired come sparring time because they are in fighting shape, so for someone who only dabbles at this point like me, it's tough to keep up.

No ****, yea I train there when I'm in the area (I'm in Maryland now, but from Va Beach), but it's my best friends gym he trains at, Bushido MMA in Portsmouth. My friend who trains there is Cody Smith, he is a 6-0 mma Amateur Light Heavyweight title holder (I think he still is, they strip all the time), I'm sure he knows your gym, as he trains ALOT in strictly boxing.

    You know Dorin Spivey (Boxrec)?

I know of Dorin Spivey jr. welterweight pro. The guys I train with are my buddy Marlon(former number 5 ranked superheavy in the country), Goose(another heavyweight former amateur, pro now with 1 fight), my buddy Greg(fought Antonio Tarver in the nationals), and a lot of good young amateurs. I would name drop a little more, but I don't like putting my buddys' names out their without their permission ya know? Next time you are in the area let me know I can take you to my gym, and we can get some work in. Reason I was even in the area is because I am in the Navy, call Newport News home. Take it easy buddy.

I dunno if Dorin is a jr, Ill ask him next time I see him. Dorin is a lightweight nowadays, but has fought at Welter (most recently in being the much smaller man against Antonin Decaire in 09) where most will agree he is just too small for.

I'm also in the the Navy (Aviation Ordnanceman) and am stationed in Pax River Maryland. I get down to VA as much as I can, as most of my close family and friends are there, so next time I'm down and have time I'll try to hit you up and check out your gym.

    :bbb

Not too many people can bait me into typing serious **** talk, it really only makes me the one who fell for the keyboard warrior game look like a tool usually.

I dont post here to prove I'm some sort of badass, I post here because I love boxing, and it just so happens I dabble in it as well.

Sure I can probably win a fight against the average guy off the street (which means nothing), but the boxing ring is a whole different animal, I understand and respect that.
