Would please source or give quotes of these fans or Ward actually saying something remotely close to what you're assuming...As usual, you dudes go off the deep end and make up fairy tales to make a moot point.

Ward is a very skilled fighter and its something you seriuosly need to accept..You dont have to like but at least stop making **** up to push your hate filled agenda.

Your stupidity never cease to amaze me!:verysad

I believe Ward was more calculated with that punch compared to manny. Ward was throwing a lot of straight, hooks in that fight like linares. Manny was just throwing what ever.

Manny has thrown that combination for years.. He's not just throwing 'whatever' man c'mon. You can say what you want about Pacquiao but he's one of the best combination punchers ever in this game, and it's all calculated / put together in the gym beforehand.

Ward is arguably my favourite fighter also.
    Good post.
Wards style is very effective, he holds when required and then breaks and punches, a bit like R Hatton from the UK.
As long as the ref is fair, Wards style will be hard to beat

Froch is slow, but has still done well in his career

I'll try to keep an eye out for that move when I get a chance to rewatch his older fights. I believe he pulled it off in a Margarito fight but im not certain.

Don't understand this post. The only position that would be severely affected by an injured metatarsal would be quarterback. WR/RB/TE/linemen simply tape the finger to an adjacent finger. Problem solved.

A broken metatarsal on a boxer indicates there would be cringing pain everytime a punch was/is thrown. Hand injuries during a fight are the most impressive to overcome imo.

If his punches/combinations were calculated then he wouldn't be off balance so god damn much. His smothering style is simply designed to overwhelm an opponent. It's just not effective versus good counter-punchers with defenses (JMM, Floyd, etc.).

Ward's punching style is far superior to manny despite the fact that manny's style will almost always inflict more damage. Ward's punching style is exactly what you describe: calculated, thought-out, conscious of counters. manny is limited to physical traits because he's not a boxer; just a smothering puncher. He has little to no ability to adapt in a fight... just throw certain punches more or less. So to say manny's punching style is superior is simply to fall victim at the volume of his punches (imo). manny would've lost to froch/kessler caliber fighters.

Yeah, maybe Soccer to you. i call it football.

Some footballers/soccer players have played on with a broken metatarsal, some didnt know it was broken, but if they kick the ball in the wrong place, its very painful. Side foot/pass, not painful, shot with the laces, VERY painful, unbearable.

But in modern day footballer/soccer player, would not dare go out with a broken metatarsal.

Ward had a broken Hand, he needs to throw punches.

Footballer would have broken foot bone, needs to kick ball.

    Thats where the similarity ends.

The thing with Zags is that his qualities as a fighter were his insanely high workrate, speed and off-timing, not necessarily individual moves that you could highlight as gifs.

No need for the hate; both were (are) exceptional fighters.
