Do we say SRR is number 1 SRL number2 If so, who is the consensus number 3? Armstrong or who? What say you?
Question is, would Hearns have defeated Leonard with today's weigh-ins? Imagine how much of a beast he would be today at Welterweight.
Excellent points. Personally I can't see how Leonard gets the second spot over Napoles. I don't get how beating Benitez, Duran in a rematch, and a Hearns struggling to make Welter, is seen as better than Napoles body of work at 147.
Hearns weighed in on the first attempt at 145 pounds. That's not a man struggling to make weight. Anyway, I'm not expecting a consensus but Jose Napoles would probably be the name I'd add to those two Sugar Rays too. :good There are probably alternatives to Leonard and Napoles though, but Robinson would be top 3 lock.
So did Oscar against Pacman. I don't think anyone would claim he looked good at the weight though. In 32 fights it was only the 3rd time Hearns had weighed less than 146, and he never attempted to make Welter again. That in itself tells us all we need to know.
