With mundine soon to become the pioneer by kicking the ass of austin trout I figured it would be a great idea to post a review of all of choc's fights one by one leading up to the history making fight. "The Man" decided to save Australian boxing on the 3/7/00 against Gerrard Zohs a fighter with 20 fights, 10 wins, 9 losses and a draw. Weighing in at 74.9kg the man came out to pyrotechnics and LL Cool J blasting away on the speakers. The fight itself was short but gave little snippets into the future greatness we as choc fans are all well used to seeing from him today. Zohs tried a cheapshot as the fight began but paid for it later in the round as Choc put him down once with some wrestling and once with a punch. Mundine was novice like and at times tentative but managed to shoehorn in a first round bit of showboating. Choc dominated the fight as Zohs couldn't hurt him, in round 3 Choc ran into a shot but beat up on Zohs as punishment although both fighters fought at a slower pace. Round 4 saw Zohs have a good go at the beginning but Choc starched him midway through the round showing everyone he was right to pick up the gloves. Mundine showed he was an athlete but looked amateurish throughout the fight as he loaded up constantly and his defence was awful, on the other hand it was clear his jab, left hook and right uppercut were going to be world class in the future. Mundine also looked distracted at times and was happy to touch gloves frequently despite his future misgivings about doing so. :hi: Hi haters.
I find this thread logical and not funny at all, am looking forward to more in depth analysis of some of Chocs great battles such as Kim, Nee & Falliga. And even though Naz did his ring entrances first, I have no doubt that Choc's were not derivative at all, as the man is a pioneer and is a repository of original ideas.
A bit like how I find it not funny that you write for free in danny green's magazine and refer to yourself as a boxing writer. :hi:
give us choc fans what we want , in depth analysis of the othke , kessler and wood fights please 20a87.
hahahaha is this **** serious keep the satirical writing coming very funny stuff to read must be very embarrassing for anthony to have you lay bare his succession of mediocre and gutless attempts at boxing superstardom hahahaha
i look forward to your eloquent and unbiased documentary of one of our nations greatest athletes ever.
I guess with Angelo and Elias being incharge he thought it was a defacto ownage of the Mag. I must say they give choc some good runs and a centre poster in one edition
