A couple days ago Hearn was saying Klitschko was next for Joshua- the report was all over the Internet sites Hearn even said the latest "indications" from Klitschko's camp are that they are going to take the rematch ... but now (according to the scene) Joshua himself is saying Klitschko should retire as he gave such a good performance and he should end his career on that "high" note I'm not sure what Joshua's reasoning is in making a statement like this Klitschko rematch would bring much more notoriety and money and prestige than facing his other option; Pulev, whom a win over would carry zero credibility and would not sell 1/3 the tickets the Klitschko rematch would I say Wlad takes the rematch and it's another back and forth war
wlad couldn't ever duplicate that performance again.. no way will he be as hungry "possessed" next time around. he doesn't get up in round 5 and pull a 180, he has nothing more to prove and adding another tko loss helps him how ? if he's to fight one last time go after fury in his first "comeback" fight. make up for last fight where only fury was ready. I know it wasn't entirely furys fault, but he knew all about wlad wife and he turned on the trolling at every chance. wlad could win that fight big, tko win over fury would be seen for much more than it is. fury got 1 top fighter totally ill prepared and some think that was a "great" performance when in reality it was just that tiny bit less terrible than a lost wlad go after fury or retire, only 2 option that won't hurt what he's built.
Nah Wlad and Joshua re are the two best fighters on the planet today. Wlad came so close to beating Joshua, he deserves another bite at the cherry.
Read that the rematch will not be until November........................Vlad will announce his plans in June..............
The two statements are completely independent to me... Eddie Hearn saying what WILL happen and Joshua answered a question on what he feels Wlad SHOULD do. One doesn't depend on the other... and I agree... I think Wlad will take the rematch but I don't think he should. From a fan perspective I think we have seen it now and I think Joshua wins more comfortably next time. In fact i be more interested in seeing Wlad/Wilder if Im honest.
Joshua knows he will win or at least believes in himself and doesnt want to hurt Wlad. Joshua himself stated he gave to much respect and figures to end it quicker in a more one sided fight the next time , i dont beleive myself he thinks it will be competitive as he lets on...joshua stated he thinks it will still be competitve but doesnt figure it will be as dramatic. He just doesnt want to be THAT guy sending Wlad into possible retirement.Anyone else i think he really wouldnt care.At the end of the day Money talks, fighters change stances on a regular basis.both win if a rematch happens.
