    Anyone know how old he was when he took up the sport? How much experiance did he have, prior to turning professional?

    He was born in 1894.... Turned pro in 1913........

    I doubt his 'experience' in boxing before those years has been catalogued..

    Either way, from 1913 -1915, he hardly managed in a serious bout.
