A couple of interesting and more fair Marciano matchups imo

188 was out-of-prime marciano, so ill be fair. But 184-185 marciano knocks all of these guys out

1. Marciano via UD/late TKO
2. Marciano via mid KO
3. Marciano via late KO after brutal early rounds where he gets dropped
4. Marciano via UD
5. Marciano via mid KO

Bonavena would make rocky look bad like hell .a rhythm breaker. Stronger faster bigger and charley who worked with both men said that bonavena did hit harder

 

I doubt Oscar hit harder than Rocky.

 

They all give him trouble in their own way. Young wins the first half of the fight, but I stopped later in the fight.

Norton, IMO, would be a tough opponent like Walcott was and probably is stopped in a similar manner.

Williams and Weaver probably make Marciano hit the deck, but Marciano keeps coming and eventually overwhelms and stops them.

Bonavena tests Rocky. This is a war in which Rocky may or may not hit the deck. I think Marciano stops him late or beats him up en route to a decision win.

 

I feel Marciano`s inside skills would be far too much for the vastly limited Weaver and Norton wouldn`t be able to take Rocky`s punch, he didn`t fare well with punchers at all.

 

Marciano definitely beats bonavena every time. Would be a tough fight, but Marciano would outwork and Outland him..and when rocky had one of his human windmill rounds like Moore round 6, Charles round 15...bonavena would get overwhelmed

It is about styles and bonavena was naturally bigger and much stronger than moore and charles

 

Style wise. Marciano matches up great with bonavena. Marciano was the bigger puncher, more versatile puncher, had better stamina, higher workrate, more skilled on the inside, and just as tough and durable. He also beat better quality opposition than bonavena did

In a battle in the trenches, rocky is favored here all the way

We can judge with our own two eyes. Marcianos famous Suzy Q right hand was a harder punch than anything bonavena had.
