    Very Underrated

    - Dwight Came to fight, though outsized. He wasnt there to fall over.

    - Bobby Crabtree: fought Tyrelle Biggs, berbick, dokes, AFTER FOREMAN BEAT HIM.

    - Guido came to fight, only stopped on cuts. Outmatched tho

    - CARLOS HERNANDEZ is p4p the toughtest fighter who Ive ever seen. Not only did he **** talk foreman the whole time, he dropped him with a left hook. This is a great fight, please watch it if you havent. DUring commentary, they mentioned that Hernandez was a very good EDDIE FUTCH PROSPECT. He came to fight.

    - Bert Cooper: Trained by Frazier. Ruined by Foreman in 2 . List of guys cooper faced after Foreman: Bowe, Mercer (lasted 12), Holyfield (lasted 7). Moorer, Sanders, Byrds, Oquendo. Bert did better agianst all of them than foreman sans maybe Bowe. Anyway, Bert Came to fight.

    - Enter ****ey and Rodriguez, both favored over foreman. The rest is history as Foreman ended it with his signature 1-2-3 combo. As with most foreman fights, you never know where 3 will come from.

This entire myth that foreman fought pushovers before ****ey is crazy. George fought plenty of guys who were game and who came to fight, not fall over. Foreman fought some bums, sure, but mostly to stay active.

There is nothing to suggest, IMO, that Foreman couldn't have easily taken any one of the 80's alphabet titles if he was given the chance.

    Foreman bless

Cooper was doing coke with prostitutes on the night before the fight. I think Don King set it up.

This is the first I've heard of ****ey and Rodriguez being favored.

I think ****ey was favored. Not sure about Rodriguez, but he had just beaten Bonecrusher, so maybe.

I'll agree that the Rodriguez win is underrated.

Cooper blames Archie Moore! I have trouble picturing the Ole Mongoose working with a pimp!

George deserves credit for fighting so often in his comeback. He was on TV about every month and a half it seemed like. He wasn't like Shannon Briggs who crushes a couple of tomato cans and demands a shot. Foreman went out there barnstorming across the nation, got the rust off, then moved on to bigger and better things. To me it was a thing of beauty.

Agreed. Is there a need to defend it?

Probably defending against the "few" who have suggested Foreman's comeback was "smoke and mirrors". They were way off.

Yeah I should have clarified. HBO really hated on him.

My favorite moment ever is when Merchant said "The Myth of Foreman's power has been exposed". Right before he put Michael to sleep. Makes me laugh every time.

Im a bigger fan of comeback George than 70's George. Very underrated.

Only beaten by the greatest version of Holyfield that ever was. That Holy was one of the best HWs H2H of all time imo.

And to a Morrison who would give hell to anybody performing like he did that night.

Foreman and those two versions of Holy and Morrison would obliterate everybody to come along in the post Lewis era. Wlad , Vitali , Povetkin , Tony Thompson ...all of them.

Vitali would be close but he wouldn't avoid that jab and long right hand. I see his face unravelling somewhere around the middle point.
