If Wladimir fought that fat bum Galento it would be a UD. If Vitali fought him Galento would be DQ'd.

I base it on this and it's a fair point:

    Consider this:

    Lewis lost against INFERIOR opposition.
    Wlad lost against INFERIOR opposition

Vitali lost every time he stepped up. Due to his body failing him.

The 2 times he fought elite fighters.. he got injured DURING the matches. This indicates that despite his granite chin.. he is actually fragile.

He have a 100% statistical fail against elite opposition in relationship to his body.

If he cuts against Old Lewis. .What's to say he won't cut against Ali?

Having fragile skin is a weakness.

Debatable, but you really are stretching by comparing today's HW division with that of the 40s, especially as Louis looks better on film than anyone active.

The HWs of the 70's, 80's & 90's would clearly beat the current crop of HWs. I just had a quick browse through your post history & its mostly racial stuff in the lounge, no surprise why you rate this era so highly.

How is it laughable? The opposite but same logic is saying Danny Green beats any version of Roy Jones.

Lewis was slow, fat, out of shape and couldn't even keep up with a mediocre pace and you think despite this being true is laughable? I think the ****** is you

The era isn't that weak at all. It's an average era, and his fighting style as no bearing on his ability, and therefore legacy for an impartial observer.

Whether it's the management or Dempsey himself doing the avoiding, it's the same thing. You wouldn't have the same kind of lenience if it were the Klitschko's management doing this, and you know it.

Johnson didn't give a **** about the threats he received, he walked into a KKK rally for the sake of doing so. The ridiculous restrictions he placed as champ he didn't do out of fear. He did it to mess with the white establishment because of how ****ed up the climate was. And the fact he was forced into "Battle Royals" in his youth.

Couldn't keep up with a mediocre pace?! Have you seen the fight?

And it's still one fight. You NEVER, EVER judge someone's overall ability based on one fight. THAT'S the ******ed part, and the fact you don't seem to grasp this is a major mind****.

As far as I know the Klitschko's managment are racists. If they were of course I would.

The era is terrible the fighters today gas after 3 or 4 rounds. They're all flat flooted brawlers.

Thanks for making my point about Johnson. It was a different time you cannot compare it with today.

One fight? This is Vitalis biggest opponent and he got Lewis right at the very end of his career and LOST.

I can't say for sure the early 80s crop beats the current crop. Pinklon Thomas for instance, was athletic and talented but there was a certain vulnerability about him that makes a fighter like him beatable for fighters of this era.

In the 70s crack addict Jeff Merritt was a top 10 contender after destroying Ernie Terrell in one round.
He had the hardest left hand in the division, Foreman got offered 50 thousand dollar to fight the man on their way to Frazier but he fought Terry Sorrell instead. (Even bad for a Deontay Wilder opponent)

    March 1972

'CANDY SLIM' - JEFF MERRITT CHALLENGES GEORGE FOREMAN'

Top 10 ranked Heavyweight - Jeff 'Candy Slim' Merritt of Miami, Florida has challenged
undefeated George Foreman to a bout, with the winner to get a bout with Champion
    Joe Frazier.

Chris Dundee, the fight promoter in Miami has offered George Foreman $50,000 to
come to Southern Florida, and face the 6' 5" hard-hitting Merritt. The 24 year-old
'Candy Slim' claims to have a record of 29-1-0 (24 KO's), and has been fighting since
1964 when he was only Age 16. Many regard the 6' 5" Florida fighter as having the
hardest left-hook in the Heavyweight Division.

Chris Dundee, 'Foreman has been saying that nobody wants to fight him, and he
can't find anybody to put up decent money for a bout. Well, here it is $50,000
guaranteed for a bout in April, and in Miami. It could be billed as the 'Right Hook
Meets the Left Hook'. Foreman has the best right hook in the business, and my guy
has the best hook. It could be a blockbuster fighter.

Foreman did cherry pick his way to the title.
Though his title run was good for how long it lasted :D

Alright, let's go by the idiotic premise that Vitali's fight against Lewis is the only one you should judge his career and his abilities by.

Provide definitive proof that Lewis was significantly worse in this fight than he was in the previous 5 years. He was heavier, yes. But not abnormally so. And his workrate from the second round onwards was pretty much on par.

:huh His chin was one of the best I've ever seen.

Guys like Dokes, Page, Spoon, Tucker, Tubbs & Thomas were far more talented than todays HWs, they produced better fights as well.

Wlad is the most boring champion ever though.

He's an improved John Ruiz trading a funny trainer for knockouts and boring domination.

Galento wouldn't even get close to getting a title shot today. Galento had 23 (!) losses when he got a title shot against Louis, that's how awful that era was.

No he is not smart, he keeps on winning, has been champion for years and years now, and barely gets hit like he did before this current title reign.

That is not smart is it:patsch

Why not go in completely open and get KTFO:rofl
