 No its not, you really are clutching at straws with a throwaway comment like that.

You must be related to Tony, I've never seen a fight of his that would make me agree with that statement.

As opposed to Tyson running though a bunch of crack heads

As opposed to Lewis fighting a washed up and slow Tyson as the biggest win of his era.

As opposed to Louis' bum a month club.

As opposed to Marciano fighting pensioners.

    etc etc

It has always been not the greatest division, but it is only the worst ever now because all you have now as Americans is an ancient Mummyfield.

THis **** gets boring. As if the 80es and 90es were we had champions who would be cruiserweights today were that much better. I just remember Moorer (WBA AND IBF Champion) who was knocked out cold against an ancient Foreman who was like 47 fat and slow! Then Foreman gets a lucky victory over a guy like Schulz. Schulz after this gets robbed again for IBF Heavyweight title against Moorer in a SD. Schuz himself said that Wladimir was the strongest fighter he ever fought.
No these times were not much better in terms of the champion (today we have two very good champions) or contenders. Fighters like Povetkin, Pulev, Helenius (healthy) Haye could be very likly champion in the 90es and for sure in the 80es!
Only thing wich was great were Holyfield and Lewis... the rest? Not really. (Dont tell me out of prime Tyson was great)

Even a prime Tyson could not stop the following fighters:

    James Tillis
    Mitch Green
    James Smith

That goes some way towards smashing the myth that he was wrecking ball who would knock out everyone out inside 6 rounds from this era.

Thompson was so underrated it's not even funny. A bit like Vaughn Bean. The disparity between their ability and their opposition means they will never get the credit they deserve.

Marciano fighting pensiors?? Isnt Wladimir 37 and Vitali 41 they would be considered pensioners so Rocky BEATS pensioners in 1950 but the PENSIONERS are NOW CHAMPION?? Nice one!!

You notice how Wladimir and Vitali don't have no bum of the month club despite there opponents going into the ring are sit there like sitting ducks..just not that good. Louis was incredible.

Lewis dominated the most punchers of all time and absolutely destroy a prime Vitali depsite being fat,old and out of shape. Good one!!

Tyson?? rofl what an idiot. Isn't Wladimir fighting a cancer surviver? Remarkable for him to have his record despite over coming that but on Wlads behalf as the WORLD HW CHAMPION...:lol:

Wladimir Klitschko depsite being untouchable now was made look like to a rookie against..
    Brewster - ?
    Sanders - ?
    Purrity - ?

But now he is untouchable shows how weak this era has really become when the likes of those guys make him look foolish or has Wladimir become faster, stronger, smarter with age?? rofl

    Vitali lost ..
    Byrd - Former MIDDLEWEIGHT
Lennox Lewis - old,fat and out of shape, almost fell over at the end of r3? due to exhaustion.

Vitali couldn't knock out Shannon Briggs who fought him with one arm. Myth!

But yea I agree prime Tyson was **** for not having a 100% knock out ratio.

this is a bad era for the HW divison, everyone knows it. the best fighter of this era was beaten by the champ of the previous era which almost never happens.

    Maricano beat Louis
    Ali beat Liston
    Homles beat Ali
    Tyson beat Homes
    Lewis beat Tyson
Vitali LOST to Lewis and then went on to dominate with his brother - who was KO'ed 3 times by low level fighters in Lewis' era.

also the fighters they have fought are poor - charr, sonoswki, arreola, mormeck, chambers, thompon, iggy, adamek, haye - these guys are all C level HWs at best and Haye only moved up cause he saw how **** poor the divison was.

people make excuses cause they want to make Wlad look like a better champion then he is but history will judge him correctly. a good champ in a weak era who would not have held up in the 90's or 60's

Made to look like a rookie against Brewster and Purrity, huh?

The rampaging bias has forced me to take nothing you say from here on in seriously. Byrd never fought at any lower than Light-Heavy in his pro career and he was there for two fights. Not that this is in any way significant.

Guillermo Jones was an ACTUAL former Welterweight/Light-Middleweight. Are you going to mock those that have lost against him at Cruiserweight due to this? What about Cunningham, who struggled badly against him? Nah, thought not. The bias is pathetic, son.

It's not an abnormally bad era at all. Arreola, Thompson and Chambers are good fighters, especially Chambers and Haye.

But if you are going to call them "C-Level fighters", give me a definition of what constitutes A/B/C/D level fighters. And I said a definition, NOT an example of what fighters go where. Otherwise it's clear you've just pulled a bull**** arbitrary ranking from your ass.

You are really dumb! I said Schulz was bad!!!!!!!!!!!! But he was close in becoming ****ing World Champion in the 90es! Was robbed against ****ing Foreman and Moorer! this shows you how bad the 90es were when a guy like Schulz should have beeen Champion but was not given the victory.
I really think you did not understand what I wrote. Schulz faced two great Champion of the 90es... and he said WLadimir was the best fighter he ever faced. No get my point?
    Please be quite now.
I dont say this era is great! But the 90es (until Lewis took over) and the 80es were not great also! But if you yanks are happy in saying this era is **** ánd the 90es are super great be happy with it.
