From Steve Kim's review of the Bradley - Holt fight, posted on 4/8/09. "Remember that song from Dead or Alive? (C'mon, admit, you like it just as much as I do). But one of the reasons why Bradley had the presence of mind to take a knee in the first round this past weekend after crashing to the canvas is that he actually does a drill - that I've seen on video - where he spins himself round (like a record) and then he takes a knee before standing up. "We do spins at practice, about every other day," confirmed Bradley. "We'll do about three spins, spin for about ten seconds and then I'll have to get up at eight and I have to walk up to my trainer and then sometimes we'll do that and I'll take the knee, I'll get up and then my dad will start swinging punches all crazy at me and I have to get underneath and hold him." Now in all likelihood, Tszyu still dominates and stops Zab, but this kind of presence of mind would have taken Nady out of the equation, at least for a few more minutes. Zab (and Kim's 80s fetish) aside, I think all fighters ought to include a version of this in their training. Talk about hoping for the best, and preparing for the worst. Bradley continues to impress.
Good thing about Bradley, he is strong, talented, charismatic, fun to watch and not famous enough for people to "hate" on him yet.
There really isn't much to "hate on" yet, fame or no fame. Dude is basically cleaning house at 140 against dangerous fighters, and doing it overseas makes it that much more impressive.
