A duck is a duck! Y the hell did Khan fight Algeri over Brook?

Khan's just trying to cynically manoeuvre himself to a mega fight with May/Pac without facing anyone who would probably kick his ass.

Dude doesn't even have a belt and he turns down a title fight? Embarassing

 

I never understood why Khan has been so reluctant to fight Brook all these years hes faster throws more combinations etc Brook has pop but its not like hes Thurman or Maidiana. The only thing I can think of is Brook must have beat him pretty bad in that sparring match they had it just does not make sense

Fighting and beat Brook gives you a belt, a huge payday, and a respectable win against a hot fighter at the moment :huh

 

when will you guys get it ... boxing is a business , its nothing to do with what fans want , there is a little fight on in vegas this weekend that is the cast iron proof of that e.g wait years , fight is now worth 4 times as much , no tickets for proper fight fans as its only catered for the super rich .

khan v brook at wembley summer 2016 is worth 5-10 million more than it is right now providing they stay unbeaten between now and then , and at least UK fans will not be mugged off like US fans are as we hold our big fights at proper sized venues that caters for proper fans and not just corporate sponsors and hollywood celebrities .

 

..on the other hand why the hell is Brook fighting Gavin, a British level guy who struggled with part time fighter Curtis Woodhouse

 

Brook wasn't going to fight until July. He is still fighting in July but also fighting in May now too (it will be 3 fights in just over 100 days).

Gavin is the highest rated fighter in the IBF available so if he waited until July, he'd likely have to face Gavin as his next mando anyway before the years out, and wants to take two voluntaries after against Rios and Marquez/ Maidna or Khan

 

One man fights a poor opponent waiting for a bigger fight...and....one man fights a poor opponent waiting for a bigger fight and charges PPV for it...

 

It's a good all round card, (I think they needed Brook on it to sell PPV because they probably overpaid Gradovich and Linares to come to the UK, and it was originally planned to be DeGale-Dirrell as the main event but they lost the purse bid) not as many in the UK are begrudging this being on PPV like Cleverley-Bellew, and apparently it's going to be cheaper.
