A Fairly Thorough Explanation As To Why Ruiz's KO Victory Over AJ Was In Fact NOT A Fluke.

Too many excuses for and from Joshua. When I hear fighters claim mental excuses after losing it just makes me question their overall mental toughness. They're basically admitting that their mental toughness wavers and is susceptible to outside influences or internal demons.

If Joshua had just left things at his own words in the ring right after the fight I'd say "there's a man who is tough enough to accept a beating like a man." Now the excuses are coming out of the woodwork. He's claiming a lucky punch, blah, blah, blah.

Excuses make putting things behind you much more difficult.

Both Ruiz and Joshua are very good fighters. The better man won that night. No fluke, no excuses. If Joshua does win I seriously doubt Ruiz will act like Joshua and claim he ate a bad burrito or his focus was oft kilter.

If AJ wins I feel this how he have to fight Ruiz I'm not sure on this fight who's the winner will make my mind up @ a later date.

An excellent post and some very good points made but you didn't factor in the very real possibility that AJ was not 100% mentally 'right' that night. The rumours of getting KO'ed in sparring, being out of his comfort zone in the US, a late replacement opponent, the less than relaxed expression AJ usually has on his face during ring walk/intros, the constant neck massages from McCracken and the strange comments in between rounds. Is any of the above concrete evidence that AJ wasn't at 100% that night ?? Perhaps not, but personally I believe it to be true.
Of course Ruiz's style was always going to be difficult and dangerous for someone as upright and supposedly robotic as Joshua, but whatever the reality about AJ's mental state he WILL be better for the rematch both tactically and mentally. Will that be enough ?? It's 50/50 for me.

Nope. If he does the one two thing and falls into a clinch like Wlad, that opens him up to getting tagged going into and coming out of the clinch. Andy's parrying skills are too solid, he'd be missing all night and opening himself up to counters as well. Also he tried his best to box off the backfoot the first time around, but that's playing right into Ruiz's hands, his footwork and ability to cut off the ring is too advanced for that to succeed, and no amount of work is going to fix that. Hell Parker is far more of a natural at that, and arguably Ruiz did enough to draw with or beat him by a point.

Are people on drugs? What part of that was luck, Ruiz knocked his butt down 4x and stopped him

Nah, tough as nails is Benn, once hurt he was more dangerous than clear headed, Bruno, whether he took 30 unanswered punches was finished after the first 2 that landed, he'd stand there rooted to the canvas not knowing where he was or whether he was at the Royal Albert Hall doing Panto, two totally different animals. Admittedly, the Witherspoon fight was a war and he took punishment and dished it out

CST was one of a number here who warned of Ruiz before the fight.

Particularly the Parker fans knew what a handful Ruiz would likely be.

This whole post is completely unnecessary because anyone that calls Ruiz win a fluke is an absolute moron who doesn't need to be taken seriously. He didn't land one punch and end the fight. This was a beat down plain and simple. Anyone saying different is being dishonest.

Like I said, I forum bet the “king” of predictions, the uber confident, digital boxing analyst phenom CST80 that Joshua wins the rematch.

I also forum bet BoxingABC1, CST80’s number one fan and reader.

But these guys never want to take it that far

I replied to your request last night, and you ignored it. Now you want to re-offer the bet again, but not tag us....you have no "cahonas"

Nah you casually brushed it off and your group leader didn't even respond, so lets do it.

    @BoxingABC1 @CST80

If Joshua wins both of you can change your display pics to Anthony Joshua of my choosing

If Ruiz wins ill change mine to Ruiz of a pic of your choosing and I’ll declare myself half mexican viva majico

    Period? 2 months

Nice friendly bet to get us going

Anyone is welcome to get in on this, it will be nice to have a forum full of AJ avatars for a change over the recent bashing

    Que excuses
