This is on chance. So, if you think that Briggs wins 99 times out of a hundred, don't bother saying "if Briggs had a heart attack..." etc.

    Discuss.

    And vote.

not much of a fight, marcianos breaks down the tired less skilled shannon briggs and finishes him off around round 10, a easy brutalizing victory for the rock. Briggs with his handspeed and steroid power might floor marciano once if he connects but rock gets back up wades in his crouch blocking his body with his elbows......he weaves and dips briggs big bombs and counters with a huge roundhouse rights and slowly disects briggs.

I think that more will go for Marciano like you have.

I voted for Briggs - I do not think that Marciano would compete.

On chance Rocky wins at least 70 times out of 100.

Marciano would win easily and one sidedly.

I think that it would be a comfortable first round KO for Briggs.

    Just for the record.

    Yes.

Marciano is too limited in my opinion.

    In every way, including power.

    I agree.

Now let's consider some of Briggs' limitations.

Near to non-exsistant work rate against the busiest man in the history of the division is not good news.

Mental weakness against perhaps the mentally toughest fighter in the history of the division is not good news.

A poorly conditioned body against a puncher who throws volume punches with a lot on every single one of them is not good news.

A ****ing crap haircut against arguably the most sensible haircut of the division is terrible news.

If Briggs made the final bell, which is probably not possible, he would never fight again, if he lived, which he might not.

My pick - Briggs quits on his stool at the end of round one.

I asumed that the one thing everybody took for granted about Marciano was his power.

    Not I.

He fought very small men and did not consistently display power against big guys.

:huh ...Care to elaborate? He was 5-0 with 5 KOs against opponents weighing over 210, three of those in the first round.
