klitschkos win against lamon brewster was nothing but a farce. at first i dont want to take anything away from wladimir who is probably one of the best if not the current heavyweight boxer but he fought a man who did nothing but "act" like a boxer and a bad one to. brewster survived but did he fight? No. who els would have beaten lamon? anybody with a good jab and height. is it wladimirs fault that brewster did not do nothing? or did wladimirs quality made brewster look so bad? i rewatched the fight ontape-i have been there live- and you could see lamon had no confidence when he entered the ring, he looked sad if not guilty. but guilty of what? something is strange with this fight and i have a lot of questions that i can not answer, maybe you can, but one thing is for sure. wladimir has to face a credible opponent who fights. right now klitschko is nothing but a modelathlet who bacame a brand. i am not intersted in that! no boxing fan should be, because we need a real person not somebody who is made "the man" by his PR and the media.
You don't want to take anything away from him? If you don't know that Wladimir made Brewster look bad then you had wasted money for the ticket mate.
i dont have to pay for a ticket, buddy. and if you dont see wladimir had a dead man in front of him you have to check your optics. wladimir is a very good boxer but the hype makes me laugh, i mean he does not face opponents, he is in for a win before the ring bells. give the man a man who fights and i shut up but as i said , now wladimir is boring!
that is right but every jab looks like a sledgehammer when thrown against a wall. a wall does not move. klitschko is too robotic, physically and mentally. when lewis was in his prime there were also voices that said he is too cautios, too boring, too invinvible but lennox had style and he has opposition. wladimir looks like a sportsrolemodel but not like a boxer. i just cant stand the hype when seeing a man facing nothing but **** and gets praise for it! the press and a cracy **** talking steward can not change my view.
*sigh* Klitschko fights Peter and makes him look like a rough slugger with no boxing skills who can't compete at the elite level. Klitschko goes against Brock and Brock looks like a total amateur completely out of his league, only able to land a few body shots. Klitschko goes against Byrd and Byrd looks like a blown up middleweight, who had no business in the ring with the giant Klitschko. Klitschko fights Brewster and pummels the crap out of him, and now Brewster is a total hopeless loser. Klitschko is fighting all bums! (Ray Austin actually WAS a bum). Keep in mind, during their first encounter Brewster was all target practice for the first 4 rounds or so as well, so, it only goes to figure that Wlad would be able to land often early. Perhaps Wladimir just makes his opponents LOOK as if they have no business in the ring with him, even though, pretty much, he is taking a lot of the best matchups that he can. It's not as if Chagaev and Ibragimov were clamoring to unify with Wlad, they wanted to unify with EACH OTHER, the weaker elements.
Nice job Code. Wlad is going to keep winning. He is so far above the rest that it rubs people the wrong way. They seize on his losses with an almost palpable sense of relief to say..."see he is not that great". When he adjusts his style and stratagy to ensure that his assets are brought to the fore they criticize his opponents. When he smashes the best to bits, they say he is too robotic. When he loses a very strange fight to Brew in which he completely dominated they say he has no heart...or no balls. When he redeems his loss they say they say that the opponent is shot or took a dive ect. The man can't win with the small minded people who can't accept greatness. My prediction...Wlad will keep winning..he'll keep getting better and in 20 years these A-Hole critiques will be long forgotten. Look if you want to say that you aren't sold on Wlad yet I can accept that. But the kind of crap written about him simply makes his critiques look like ignorant head cases. Don't be afraid,,though white guys can fight and be athletic, strong and graceful we still can't jump worth beans.
austin is a bum, brock is a bum, byrd is blown up, peter has one punch and brewster, well, we saw nothing of him. the division is crap and wladimir is the best of the bunch. wow, what deal. i think chagaev could do damage or at least bring a fight to the fighter with the pht.
Don't be afraid,,though white guys can fight and be athletic, strong and graceful we still can't jump worth beans.[/quote] this is not about being white or black or green. at least not for me. i liked wladimir and i still do, but i hate it to see him praised for doing nothing but facing bums. the man is good, no question but i is not that hard to be good and become champion these days.
Brock, Byrd and Peter are not bums. One Wlad beats Chagaev, then youll have another excuse. Give me a break.
nobody said brewster or peter are bums. where do you get that from? the others are bums and will be bums forever or they will become championbums.
I picked Brewster to win, but Wlads jab took him apart. It was a flawless performance, but I knew people were going to hate the way he won.We all knew going in the division is weak and that Wlad can be awesome, and can also self destruct at any time. But the big guy follwed Stewards carefuly mapped out fight plan perfectly and thats all you can ask of a dude.In the mean time all of Wlads psyco fans that post here can celebrate and tell us all "I told you so"!
