Old article but meh... anyone know if there's any newer predicitons from boxers? Alfredo Angulo: Two great, experienced fighters. Mosley has more experience actually, and hes a bigger fighter. And Mayweather is really a bright fighter. It will be a great fight. Who will win? I think Mosley. Kermit Cintron: I think the way Mosley fought Margarito, that Mosley would definitely win against Mayweather. Ali Funeka: Mayweather is the best fighter. But it will be an exciting fight. Kevin Cunningham: Its hard to go against Mayweather with anybody. But Mosley looked great against Margarito. Id have to go with Mayweather. Mayweather has the potential to rise to any occasion. And he has the ability to adjust to whatevers in front of him. I think he has what it takes to beat Mosley. (Mosley rises to the occasion too.) Mosley rises to the occasion SOMEtimes. Mayweather rises to the occasion ALL the time. Mayweather has zero losses. Mosley has four or five losses. Allan Green: Mosley would win. Because Floyd Mayweather has never fought anyone as good as Shane Mosley and the only fighter that he did fight Oscar De La Hoya but De La Hoya hasnt been a fighter in five years. So, technically, Mayweather never fought a class A-plus class fighter. A fighter like Shane Mosley whos stronger, bigger and maybe faster with his hands but not his feet Mosleys probably the best offensive fighter that Mayweather would have ever faced. I would take Mosley that fight. Possibly by stoppage. I mean, take nothing away from Floyd but like I said, hes never fought anybody thats had a chance to beat him. I said it [smiles]. I was the first one to say it [smiles]. Cedric Kushner: Shane might be too big for him. And Shane looked very good vs. Margarito. One has to make a commitment I think Im gonna go with Shane. Yep. Hes a great fighter. Vuyani Bungu: Mayweather is gonna beat Mosley. Mayweather is too quick. His style is so awkward. Hes gonna beat Mosley. I saw Mosley beat Margarito I was impressed. I thought Margarito was going to win. Mosley came to the fight prepared and did the job. But I think Mayweather would beat Mosley. Julius Long: I am going with Floyd all the way on that one. Hes undefeated. Floyd can back up the trash talk. Floyds the man. They aint gonna let him stop making all that money! interesting I think the fact that its not a "given" within the boxing community that floyd will win adds more excitement to this fight I am going to bet a small sum of $$ on mosley, personally
Allan Green is one to talk They all use the Margo fight Margo was a punching bag that night. If anybody actually beleives Floyd is gonna stand there and not fight back is very foolish. Moseley hasnt fought anybody slick in a long time. And Mayorga made him look stupid.
Put it this way, Mosley will be the closest person ever to inflict a defeat on Floyd Mayweather (apart from Castillo of course :yep)
Shane hasn't fought anyone as defensive as Floyd sso this fight will be a great victory for him if he wins. Anyone that comes forward Shane handles pretty well. Even in the Mayorga fight he looked sluggish but still KHTFO. People are jumping the gun saying Shane wins by Ko but let's see. Personally I think Floyd will wwin by a close decision but lets talk about the results of the fight during may.
Its going to be a frustrating night for Shane, Mayweather is not going to fight the type of fight he like.
Floyd wide UD. Everyone who is picking shane is basing it off the Margo fight from over a year ago. But shane didnt look so hot his few fights before that and dont forget Margo just got busted for cheating so first he was out of it mentally and second margo's wins which built him up are tainted especially the cotto fight which is highly suspect. Cotto would have beaten him rather easily if he didnt have loaded gloves and then no one would be talking about Margo. But besides all of that Shane is just too old and mayweather will make him look like it
worth putting a flutter on shane though. im from the uk and pretty much no one knows him over here so the odds will be good. I still think Floyd by close UD. I think shane will get some rounds in the bank by looking busier but i dont see anyone being ablwe to hit floyd clean
