Marciano was cut on top of his head. Walcott cut on the eye. Walcott's 2nd's put some meds on Walcott's eye. Yellow stuff as Bill Corum would call it. I belive it was that stuff that got into Marciano's eye.

You totally disregard someone who worked in Liston's corner who admitted how they applied the ointment to Liston's gloves, but when Dundee makes a statement, your take it as gospel.

Okay, i think we're not gonna find any middleground. I've given my arguments and you've given yours, we're not going to agree.

Dundee was a great corner man. If not for him, A young Clay likely quits vs Liston in the first fight.

One writer told how Liston asked him one time, "You like me, don't you?" The guy really never had anyone help him or anyone cut him any slack.

I never took Dundee's story as gospel. I'm just saying Dundee guessed at a explanation, and with all his experience it seems reasonable, but you seem to imply that what he guessed at happening never happens. As I think I said before, there are numerous explanations as to how eyes can sting during a boxing match, and few of them are easy to ascertain afterwards (it's hardly a crime worthy of CSI forensics). But I reckon the vast bulk of possible causes fall into the non-conspiracy, non-intentional camp.

I've never made a claim that I know what happened. Unlike you, who has "little doubt" that Clay was blinded intentionally.

No one's even shown me where Joe Pollino DID "admit" to this alleged crime, all I've ever read is that a journalist Joe McKinney claims it.
And even then, a few of Liston's close friends/associates have claimed over the years to KNOW about the same fight being fixed, still doesn't make it true or factual.
