I really want it to be, bud, but I just think he’s done now. Whyte should be streets ahead of him now. In recent years, he was uninspiring against Hammer, had a shoot out with Price where he nearly got starched, knocked out against Joshua, looked old against Hughie and got beat in my eyes against Hunter. I’ve got massive respect for him and his career, but he’s declined so much that I’m sure this will be his retirement fight.

It should be OK for the first 6 rounds. I never saw the Hammer fight, but in the Price fight, other than the big hook, Price didn't do much. Price got a hell of a lot of credit for landing one big shot. Povektkin had success against AJ. Hughie is a pain to look good against, and I had Pov beating Hunter. Plus, Whyte is coming of his most uninspiring performance in years.

Stylistically, Whyte will be better suited than Pov's more recent opponents. He doesn't have a noticeable height difference like Price and AJ, he doesn't move as much as Hughie, and he is more hittable than Hunter.

Hopefully, Pov has one more decent fight left in him and he can make it competitive until he wilts.

Whyte better get his a game back on after his last performance because povetkins still a dangerous fight for most imo. Great fighter povetkin who,s athletically on the sharp decline....and never really had the length for heavyweight. Still reckon you need to be good to have an easy night against povetkin tho. Probably past the stage of getting big wins. But he,d have beat whyte in that last fight. Think whyte will be better prepared this time tho.

First time back on the forum in a few months.
Watched the fight back again last night. Great fight and fantastic to see some of Wilders Fans/Fury haters silenced

Props to Wilder though for taking the rematch.
May not be the best technical boxer or the smartest of guys but he's still a dangerous fighter.
However, all the excuses he's making are embarrassing. Take the loss on the chin and come again.
Really don't think he should have a trilogy fight with Fury straight away but his ego and team will have him back in there ASAP.

Take another fight, get another payday in, get the confidence back up and then take the trilogy.
Fury will dominate again and Wilder can cash in one last time before he calls it a day.

Completely bizarre. He seems delusional to me. I think his team need to seriously evaluate whether he's ok before even thinking about Fury vs Wilder 3.

He’s David Haye 4.0 - trumps him on excuses and going for a stint in acting.

To be fair to Haye he routinely went after the best and came up short. Wilder's faced about three consensus top-ten opponents in his life and when he finally stepped up to Fury he got absolutely battered.

If Fury beats him again, (and I don't see why anyone would think of anything else happening) he'll largely be remembered for being the guy who delayed Fury v Joshua happening. That will literally be his legacy.

Tony Dosh PPV has a legacy of the guy who was battered all over New York by a little burger munching fatty with 4 week's notice.

Exactly. All this put down talk of Wilder will be put into context when 270 pound Fury 2.0 puts a beatdown on Joshua.

Cannot see how Tony Dosh PPV beats Fury at all and he will fold quickly again when the first punch lands

Fury is bigger, stronger, fitter, better footwork, better distance control, better ring IQ, better chin, better stamina and much tougher than AJ. AJ also doesn't possess the one punch KO power Wilder does. My admiration of Fury aside, every bit if knowledge I have on boxing tells me it's a relatively easy night for Fury.

That man isn’t fragile, he’s completely broken. Fury will completely dismantle him mentally in the build up to a third fight and force a ’suspect’ injury pull out.

That would be bad news. Would delay the progress of the entire division 6 months and allow the slim possibility for Pulev to end up beating Joshua.

Only saw Wilder's video now. Fury obviously hit him in the head harder than first thought. Poor chap has locked himself in a dark room for days and recorded that video many times before deciding to put it out. He looks depressed, extremely angry and deluded. Very bad mindset for an imminent rubber match.

He needs to go away, have a break, keep his mouth shut and train better than he ever has before with a new gameplan althoughI don't think he has one that can beat Fury. Coming back at Fury with this "baddest man on the planet" nonsense and a tonne of anger won't do him any favours.

In fairness to AJ after the Ruiz fight, he went away, didn't say a lot and changed his whole regime and gameplan. He got the result he needed.

I was just starting to like Wilder but the loss has show him to be a delusional idiot.
