1) What now for Ricky? I'd like to see him face someone on the domestic scene before going back to the world scene. 2) Joshua NEEDS to fight someone with a pulse. He's knocking over plumbers at the minute. It's tragic to watch. Agree? Who would you like to see him face next? McDermott, for me would be great to see. 3) Hearn NEEDS to put his hand in his pocket.. Anyone else agree? The cards are more one-sided than a Bukkake session.
Ricky needs to drop down a level or two, he's been horrendous his last three fights. Joshua needs to fight the likes of Martin Rogan or John McDermott, he beats the easily but gets some rounds, he's learning nothing at the moment.
1) Burns isn't getting much younger I'd rather see him going for another title shot and if he loses that then the domestic scene will still be there for him. Not much to be gained by going to domestic level now imo. 2) That guy did go 9 rounds with Chisora, not bad for Joshua's 5th fight. He is still young esp for hw and without huge amateur experience I wouldn't be stepping him up along the ladder too fast. Some domestic level journeymen like McDermott would be decent in 2014. 3) The card last week was good cos it was competitive. Think Hearn could more fights like Woodhouse - Hamilton type fights (50-50) on the big cards instead of all showcase bouts, but the pool isn't massive in the UK and many foreign fighters wouldn't come over for 50-50 type fights because everything is stacked against them.
could burns move upin weight - billys mentioned this in the past no need to go mad with joshua yet - does need some rounds sooner rather than later - if hes still at this level at the end of the year / 10 fights he could end up like price if hes not careful trouble with hearn putting on competitive fights is he has a tendancy to get his home fighter beat a lot. does need to get some more 60/40s on at the least!!!
Joshua has had 5 fights. what do you want him to do? box people in the top 10? they are doing nothing wrong with him at all. a fight against a name Brit HW is smart now Sprott or Skelton i wouldn't be looking at John McDermot or ***ton just yet.
McDermott is MADE for Joshua. It's Price/McDermott all over again. But this way AJ can fight someone with a pulse and fight some with a name. It's looking like he's fighting people who have never Boxed in their life before.

Id like to see burns rematch beltran if he scraped a draw ( yeah beltran was hard dome to ) with a broken jaw im sure hed of performed much better if he hadnt meaning a rematch is winnable and should be a good fight. Maybe the winner could go on for another shot at a title. Joshua is difficult to match cant go giving him the top guys yet but he needs rounds the guy he fought had been knocked out in 11 out of 15 loses chisora isnt really a puncher hes more of a grind em down kind so not suprising he took 9 to get him out of his 11 kos a few 1st and 2nd rounders in there. There alot of heavyweights out there with 20 odd losses and 3 or stoppages in them losses thats who they should be aiming for and then after afew of them a firtha would be good
How is Joshua KOing a guy in a round that went 9 with Chisora 'tragic to watch'? Good confidence building fights, no need to rush him. Who do you expect him to fight in his 5th pro outing?
1)I think Ricky should seriously consider retirement, he's taken a lot of punishment in his last 3 fights and has shown he's clearly out of his depth with most Top 10 Lightweights. If he does continue i would match him against Anthony Crolla and then target the WBC champ Omar Figueroa who is a young raw fighter and still a work in progress, i would definately keep Ricky away from the other champs Miguel Vasquez, Richard Abril and of cause Crawford. 2) There are two types of Journeymen, good ones that come to win and bad ones who come to lay down and Joshua has only fought the bad variety so far plus they've all been powder puff punchers as well. Here is a list of Journeymen Heavyweights i'd like to see Joshua face in his next few fights and who would also test him a bit and give him rounds in his next 4 fights: 1) Evgeny Orlov 2) Chauncy Welliver 3) Sherman Williams 4) Dominilk Guinn If they don't start putting Joshua in tough then he'll get found out as soon as they put him in against the first dangerous guy who can not only take his punches but can also dish it out too. 3) British undercards are generally dreadful, all promoters should put on at least 2 or 3 exciting 50-50 match-ups rather then just focusing on the Main Event.
