    1. The fight should not have been stopped even though Malignaggi was not going to win. Malignaggi was not being relentlessly pummeled and he had not tasted canvas. He is an ex-champion and should be allowed to finish the fight on his feet not his seat so long as he still had the wherewithal to do so.

    2. Those British fans are really getting my goat with all of that singing and buffoonery.

    3. It's abundantly clear something was wrong with Paulie's right hand which is why he threw it so infrequently which made him essentially a one-handed fighter against that British brute.

    4. Had Paulie not hurt his right hand it's obvious he would have dispatched of Hatton in Mayweather Jr.-esque fashion.

    5. Paulie was crying and it's ok. I made a thread in the Lounge a while ago about the times when it's acceptable for a man to cry and due to the circumstances Paulie has amended that thread.

    5. Floyd Mayweather Sr. has very little command of the English language.

    6. Malignaggi is tormented by the fact that he will always have a TKO loss on his record to Hatton and 50 years from now you'll still be able to look back and see it. Imagine how much worse he's gonna feel when he realizes that not only will you be able to look back and see a TKO loss, you'll also be able to see one eternally ****ed up haircut, poor dancing to Ricky Hatton's entrance music, and crying in the ring all done by the same person in one night.

    7. In many years of watching HBO Championship Boxing 11/22/08 marks the first time in which I've ever agreed with Larry Merchant. It occured during the exchange with himself and Lederman when Lederman was explaining how this wasn't the real Malignaggi out there but some "other guy."

    8. Someone should throw in the towel on Buddy McGirt's training career.

That is all I have to say about this bout. Malignaggi will come back bigger, stronger, and better cuz he's from NYC, baby.

P.S. Hatton is still a treacherous ******* for throwing Billy Graham to the sharks in favor of one Floyd Mayweather Sr. Hatton's treachery knows no bounds.

malignaggi wasn't throwing his right because when he did hatton beat him to the punch. and also it's hard to throw when your grabbing the other fighter by the legs.

"Had Paulie not hurt his right hand it's obvious he would have dispatched of Hatton in Mayweather Jr.-esque fashion." :rofl :rofl :rofl

wow your name ''club fighter'' seems to suit you perfectly! you obviously have no idea about boxing. let me just say something aswel...

    1) i agree the fight should not have been stopped
    2) those british fans you are referring to are the ones that make boxing exciting these days. we are in an era where we dont have too many real boxing personalities so having fans that are passionate is crucial for the survival of boxing especially with ufc coming on so strong

    3) even if there was someting wrong, great fighters always find a way

    4) there is no way paulie has the skill thayt mayweather has so he would NOT have dispatched of hatton at all.

    5) it seems that someone with very little command of the english language just trained a ''british brute'' to whoop someone from your beloved NYC. hurts doesnt it.....

    6) he should have thought twice before giving all mouth before the fight. dont talk unless you can back it. like a floyd or even a b-hop. and as for the haircut... GET A NEW HAIRDRESSER

    7) larry merchant does chat a lot of sh** i HAVE to agree with you there

    8) deffinetly agree witht hat

malignaggi will probably come back. but the fact is you cannot be a world beater with 5 KO's from 20+ fights. unlesss you are INSANELY talented, which sadly paulie isnt.

and btw how can you blame hatton for throwing graham out. you just saw what he did to paulie without graham so his decision is fully vindicated!

What an idiot. I'm going to raise to pints and I have more I can't be botherd raising:

    1. Hatton won because he is a different class to Paulie.
    2. British fans sing and have fun becuase they're not boring tight assed idiots who think they're great and walk out of fights like some "supporters" do.

I was rooting for Hatton but I thought Mcgirt's towel throw was suspicious and I think it could have something to do with making Ricky look all the more interesting for a future with Oscar de la Hoya at Wembly.

The sound bites suggest Hoya motives to.

    1. Lennon Lewis: It was a very good and fair stoppage.

    2. Jim Lamply: Ricky Hatton could meet the winner of upcoming fight between the top fighter in
the world :)patsch) and best P4P in the world.

    3. Merchant: Ricky Do you like to face the winner of the Hoya Pac fight.

    4. Ricky: Of coarse I want to fight the winner.

    5. Maywether Sr. : I want Pacman for Ricky!

    Other suspicious talk

    6. Letterman: There is something wrong with Malignaggi. He doesnt look
    himself at all:think

    7. Merchant: The only thing wrong is that he has never met anyone
    close to Rick Hatton's caliber.

    8. Hatton: Paulie is much tougher than he looks, Paulie is much tougher than
he looked, Paulie actually is much tougher than he looks but he couldnt deal with my superior strength and new skills

    9. OP is attacked by ESB's Golden Boy Groupies

    10. I hope I am wrong that they kinda screwed Paulie's future just to feed Oscar's ego:twisted:
