In hindsight, it's difficult to not recognize a win over Henderson as a win over a prime great, considering what Hendo has done since. The Henderson that Anderson beat may not have been absolute peak, but it was still a very good version of him considering his performances before and after that fight. Definitely not a version so past-prime that Anderson's win can be downplayed as anything other than a great victory, possibly even a career-definer when you consider Hendo's Pride status at the time.

Lutter, Henderson, Marquart, Damian Maia, sonnen and Belfort stylistically good for Anderson silva?

I cant say I agree with this.

If you look at how Lutter easily handled Pele and how close he was to doing the exact same thing to Anderson you cant say he was tailor made for Silva at all.

Silva and Pele come from the same camp Chute boxe, and have somewhat similar styles(Pele is more of a brawler with a ton of power and anderson is of course a great counter puncher with precision striking).

By the way this (lutter, a Jui jitsu blackbelt who has good takedowns and will take heavy damage to get them, then works for positional dominance then for a submission. Notice that the guard pass full mount and armbar is exactly what he did to silva( I know this is not a super complex strategy it is very basic in fact)- except his armbar on silva was sloppy it needed t be a lot tighter and he lost it) is the prototype to beat anderson silva NOT a wrestler with little/no submission skills. Jones would probably be the exception but a wrestler with good ground and pound is going to get shut down by silva and eventually be submitted or Koed. Whithout the submission abillity you will have to go 5 rounds with Anderson and silva does not get discuraged or in anyway get weaker as the fight goes on. He stays focused.

Marquart is a good striker and very good on the ground he is also a big middleweight do he should have been hard to control from silvas guard. How Nate 'the Great" is a favourable matchup for silva is ludicrous.

Dan Henderson was supposed to be then derailment of silvas Championship run at the ufc.

Tough, hardhitting with a big right hand (silvas a southpaw, so the right hand should give him some trouble) but the real problem is that dan Greco Roman wrestling ablities should see silva on his back inside of a minute flat. Henderson had only been submitted professonally once at that time by Big nog, so it seemed unlikely that silva could pull a victory off using his knowlege of BJJ. Turns out Hendo did get the takedown but was immeditly trapped in silva's half guard for the remainder of the 1st round (I think something like over 2 minutes) where he wast able to mount any effective offence. Henderson has devistating Gnp, but silva nullified it.

Maia shoud have been more of a threat than he was, but then again Maia never really got silva to the ground (I think he got a quick takedown once but silva quickly managed to get to his feet) Had Damien maia been able to top position he would have had an extreamly good chance to win by submission- not a ideal matchup for silva at all, and thats why silva knew that unlike all his other fights this one could not go to the ground!

Sonnen doesnt need an explanation, it still should be fresh in your memories how close he came to winning a decision over Silva.

Vitor was the guy who was supposed to finally give Silva a challenge striking...it didnt work out, but vitor is not a favourable style matchup for silva at all, Vitor is also a bjj Blackbelt like silva.

You can see Silva had no easy road to keep that Ufc Belt, he kept it because of his own abillites, he had no help from the Ufc matchmakers.

It was a really good win but not in an ATG one, Hendo was coming off a loss and not fighting at his preferred weight class. Do you call Shields win against Henderson great?
