I've seen the fight plenty of times. Just because there's not a heap of 10-8 rounds doesn't make a fight close. 10-9's add up very nicely over the course of the fight. You're certainly in the minority if you think it was close. As for the fascist Hanson remark...nice :roll:

 

You need to watch the first fight and see the two fighters in the centre of the ring, imo Nelson was a class above in terms of boxing ability. I give Fenech heaps of credit for the fight and thought he won but imo he wasnt the better boxer of the two and i feel Nelson was suffering from illness.

 

I really don't buy the Nelson was affected by malaria excuse anymore than Jeff got wayyyyy too much injection for his hands prior to the 2nd fight. He said in his autobiograpy he was as high as a kite in there, which half makes sense when you see him stumble on the rope getting into the ring.

 

Seriously, if anyone buying that malaria bull**** from Nelson I've got a bridge over Sydney Harbour up for sale.

Yeah, I heard his back was around 61.4% for the fight.
