And you think Mayweather would take a fight at 154?

Or anyone else with market value he could make a name for himself against such as Cotto or Alvarez

None of these guys take that fight or nobody has heard of anyone else.

Now its too late even if he drops to 154, he will not have enough time to build the name for the megs fights Mayweather wants in 2015 (big pay, small risk)

Why hasn't his happened yet actually? I feel both guy's careers have slowed down quite considerably lately.

Come to think of it though, I recall a fight with a similar scenario: Luan Krasniqi vs. Sinan Samil Sam. Both boxers were trained by the same trainer and the trainer had to make a decision on whom to train. Must've been hella tough. If I remember correctly, he chose to coach Sam but Krasniqi ended up winning a controversial decision. I remember that fight quite fondly. Was pretty big over here.

Krasniqi must of been pretty pissed off to not be chosen...

Maybe Sam and his trainer had a Pacquiao-Roach relationship, when Roach said he would also favor Manny over one of his other fighters.

Oh maybe Sam just offered him more money :yep

HW- Stiverne vs Wilder (short action fight, hopefully for the wbc title)
CW- Huck vs Wlod (again guarenteed action fight and will clear up the division)
LHW- Kovalav vs Stevenson (kind of a no brainer)
SMW- Andre Ward vs. Groves.....I dont know **** it who cares.
MW- Martinez vs 3G (either cement martinez as HOF worthy or pass the torch to golovkin)
JMW- Lara vs Alvarez (find out who the best at 154 is, mayweather most likely staying at 147 for the most part)
WW- Mayweather vs Bradley (matchup of top 5 p4pers and get to avoid a pac floyd argument)
JWW- Prov vs Mathysee (with Garcia moving up soon would arguably determine who the best at the weight is)
LW- Crawford vs Burns (find out if Crawford is for real and hopefully get that belt the hell out of burns hands.)
Everything below this I kind of cant keep straight Mares vs Rigo would be cool if Mares could win his rematch with Gonzalez
