I don't see why Arum doesn't have the foresight to see that making a fight with Mosley will not work in his best interest-
1.PPV numbers WILL be a negotiating point in making the Floyd fight happen
2.Even if the drug testing issue works out fine, the fight doesn't happen unless ALL stipulations are ironed out and agreed to (i.e. purse)
3.PPV revenue will be **** for this fight because Shane doesn't have a W backing him up like prior to when he fought Floyd (i.e. old, shot)

4.In the event that the first two occur and strike true, Floyd will demand a greater share of the purse, thus killing the fight. People will point fingers, but ultimately in Arum's situation NO FIGHT = NO MONEY. I do not see why he is not reading ahead in terms of POTENTIAL revenues, I suppose his eyes are just fixed on realizing revenues as soon as possible. (Maybe he is old and just wants to get as much as he can before he dies I dunno)

I am bringing this up because I do not see the importance Arum's haste in preparing Pacquiao to fight again right after he just won. I understand in this sense where Floyd is coming from in which Arum just comes out with a deadline; the word alone makes it sound like there is some form of obligation to comply, but I digress-
Arum is NOT looking out for Manny's best interest, he is just testing out just how many times he can cash out on his fighter until the public just gets tired out from buying. The risk averse strategy that he is utilizing when pitting Manny against marginalized opponents is slowly making people shake their heads at what may turn out to be a waste of potential (the guy is turning 32, a turning point in age). Boxing is more than just feeding one fat guy's pockets, it's about finding out who's the best, strongest, most daring, who has the strongest heart, most skilled. There is drama to be made and it's not done though lackluster matchups, pussyfooting and shittalking behind backs... and if this is supposed to be "buildup" well ****... we're yawning here.

He's got the balls in the ring, now he has to show it to his boss

There are more casual fans than boxing fans and Mosley is the only name of the proposed opponents which casual fans recognize. Casual fans couldn't tell you who Shane fought last or anything... they don't even recognize his age... they just say oh i recognize that name he's good... etc. It makes the most PPV $$$... end of story

I hate to burst you're bubble but boxing isn't about any of those things which is why it's not doing well... it should be about those things. To fan's it's abou those things because we see it as a sport still. But face it.. it's not the NFL, NBA, MLB where everyone must face everyone to find the one true winner at the end. So it's not really sports competiton... it's sports entertainment designed to get as many PPV buys as possible much in the same way WWE is. I'm not saying the fights are fixed (I also wouldn't be surprised if they sometimes were).
And also Arum IS doing what's in Manny's best interest. Arum has a fiduciary responsibility to MAKE MANNY MONEY. That is what he was hired to do. That's what he IS doing. Period.

Arum doesn't care . He's out to make money. If it sells , there's no reason for him not to do it. I don't think Manny really minds either, because he's making money too. Should we really expect him to care about Berto or Marquez at this point? None of these guys are going to beat him. He could retire right now and no one would fault him for it. The only fight he probably cares about is Floyd, and he's gone.

So why can he not have some patience to set up the fight to make the MOST money? It has only been 15 days and there are already talks of setting him up with someone else, and rather unqualified at that.

Best vs best huh? Well between 140-147 which are his more natural weight classes, who honestly would test him? Bradley, Alexander, berto? They all sound good on paper but in reality pac would stop all of them. And it's not fair that everyone wants him to keep fighting bigger and bigger guys until he loses.

This is typical Pac. You know why the Mosley fight is getting made. Shane looked like ass in his last couple of outings.

We just need to accept that this fight is going to happen.
