    He probably just didn't care enough.
    Boxing is thought as hell and often enough, even the money doesn't motivate guys. How many times have we seen guys get into the ring just for a paycheck?
    Rarely do we see guys walk away from the sport because they knew it wasn't for them.

    Yeah & I'm not joking the punishment on the body.

    It's a strange case though. Gomez was so close to the finish line. He was high in the rankings. Money was so close you could smell it.
    I admit I never got good vibes from Gomez.

    In the early 2000's Fathi Missaoui if anyone remember him good 154lb prospect...Disapeared undefeated 12-0 7KO eye condition I think.

    He fought 5 times in 2018. :lol: Dude has gone absolutely nowhere.
    I think there were some issues in regards to his British title, but thats about it. Ritson took a few months off and now hes back.

    Alexander Frenkel.

    He disappeared right after one of the most brutal KO victories in the last decade, over Enzo Mac.
    Turned out he had mental issues and never returned to boxing.

    A fighter I randomly remembered today was Jonathan Mantequilla Gonzalez. Idk why. 18-0-1 and hasn't fought since beating Porky Medina 5 years ago.
