Boxers are all given respect for their bravery to just step into the ring.

However that does not mean they are immune to fear.

These are some of the boxers I think froze/fear/**** it before a big fight:

Bruce Seldon when he fought Mike Tyson going down from a punch that didnt land.

    Mike Spinks V Mike Tyson.

Frank Bruno V Mike Tyson 11.

Enzo Maccarenlli running to the ring V David Haye.

Andrew Golota went missing for a while hiding in the toilets before he fought Lennox Lewis

Spinks v Tyson is the one that really springs to mind, watch the ring walk , talk about man going to the gallows !

I dont think Enzo **** it - just lost his cool. I think there's a difference between being scared and just being so pent up. For example, I think the ring doctor before the Clay v Liston fight said Clay was 'scared to death'. Ali was pent up not scared. I think Enzo was the same - just with extremely different outcomes!

Spinks definately against Tyson, it looked like he just wanted to turn round and go home when he was walking to the ring.

Think Audley seems to look scared everytime he gets hit! Not so much before a fight though!

One more... Eubank while Collins had his towel over his head and earphones in after he had been 'hypnotised' to feel no pain

yes that gave the impression of desperation and fear - it was a big reality check for him to be moments away from facing Haye.

he just wanted to get it over with as quickly as possible and didnt throw much in the fight

he was flying to the the ring - sprinting - anxiety

also I noticed if you look at his hair that night it was all messed up - some people might just think it funny that he looked scruffy

but what I think is a little deeper than that: stress / fear does funny things to you and he probaly forget to do his hair cos he was so stressed about what was too come

in contrast HAYE was smiling and singing walking to the ring all casual

I can see how people interpret it that way, and fair enough, but I disagree. Think he was more worked up than 'scared'.

Agree with Haye though - he was cooler than being cool that night

i was a big Prince Naseem fan

but he **** it before the Barrera fight - stalling the fight playing around with his gloves - delaying it - big reality check.

also he the stress got to him and he didnt do his trademark ring flip - because he wasnt in his usual confident showman mood - he was dreading the fight and was relieved when it was all over

Gatti against Mayweather. His demeanor was nothing like I ever seen it before. During his ringwalk, there was an explosion, and it noticeably startled him. He seemed shell shocked the entire night.

only thing was he never acted like that before any other fight - he was delaying the fight with a glove problem - whats that all about?
he didnt flip in the ring - like he usually does.
he came on on a flying red carpet though like peter pan or something
and a bloke threw a pint over him when he was on the flying carpet

watch Naz ring entrance on the flying carpet and keep a eye out for a scum bag who actually launched his pint at Hamed and it flew past over Hameds head but didnt hit him but probaly wet him with beer
