Devon Alexander. I thought he was a hypejob until the Urango beating.

I was thoroughly impressed with that performance and completely changed my opinion of him.

Hate is a strong word for what I felt toward Hatton and Calzaghe but I'll admit I thought they were over-protected and would fail miserably when they would face strong competition. I even thought that Tzsyu would ko Hatton inside 3 rounds. I ate my crow that day and is a fan since. As for JoeC, the Lacy fight was great but I wasn't sure yet but it forced me to re-evaluate past performance and skills and by the Kessler fight, I was a fan and thought that he would win a 8-4 UD. ;)

Have to say that still think that JoeC wasted too much of his talent but Hatton definately tried his best vs the best out there.

Used to think JM Marquez was boring. Boy, did the Pacman fights and Barrera fight changed my mind.

But, I think these days I understand the "game" surrounding boxing much more then I did at the time so I don't "hate" on fighters anymore.

    But **** the promoters!

Mayweather fits this thread perfectly for me. I don't care for the man, at all. I don't even care if he's putting on a front to sell tickets. Anyone who puts on a front like that is an *******.

But in the ring, he's a little god. I'm a huge fan - from the first bell to the last exclusively.

Roy Jones - Always struck me as arrogant, and a bit over-protected.

But after he beat Hopkins and Toney, he was a P4P great in my eyes!

I may as well say it- I wasn't around at the time, but young Ali would've fit that bill for me. I like him now and certainly wish him the best, but I'd have been firmly in Frazier's corner at the time.

Manny. When I first saw Manny fight in the states I didn't like the fact that he was so raw and one demensional. I found it difficult to favor him in any of his earlier fights in the US b/c he was such an unpolished fighter. But I began to see his progression and talent as he beat fighter after fighter and in return me losing a good amount of paper betting against him.

    Marquez

not that I didn't like him just that I underated him.

    Kessler would be the opposite.
