We all remember the phrase " STYLES MAKES FIGHT"

From the past, and the present which style do you think will be " krytonite" to a successful fighter!

I try to start one off for you...Lets take Dirrell for example...I think his kryptonite will be a fighter with a relelntless attack, good sturdy chin and will be in his grill for the whole fight..This person must be able to get off on Dirrell and be able to limit Dirrell movement by cutting off the ring! IMO I think the type of fighter that will fit this mode is Marvin Hagler.

Lets see what you guys can come up with!:good

Or perhaps a guy like Chad Dawson who may be able to beat Dirrell at his own game.

But guys with an aggressive style, Hagler for sure, maybe Lamotta from the past, and possibly even Roberto Duran.

But Dirrell is an excellent athlete and if he put everything together, especially his heart and mentality, he could potentially beat any one of them.

 Aw c'mon bro make it more interesting. Hagler over Dirrell is a no brainer. Among modern fighters I would say Froch, but they already fought, and even though I think Dirrell beat Froch, Froch gave him a hard, hard fight.

I think Ward is like a chameleon and is good at doing more than one style. He isn't only as technically sound as Dirrell, but I think he is smarter and he'd probably stay on Dirrell's chest and neutralize his speed and outside fighting. I think Ward is a nightmare for anyone. If Ward gets by everyone including Bute in the future I would love to see him fight Dawson. That would be a great fight and I might pick Ward too.

Chris John might be Gamboa's kryptonite. He has the movement, the speed, and the jab to offset Gamboa or keep him from loading those bombs.

I think Pacquiao and Floyd are each other's kryptonite, not only because they are p4p rivals, but the styles each has is made to beat the other.

I think Bradley would bust up Khan personally.

As far as Mayweather is concerned, a Hearns, Vernon Forrest type of fighter.

Or maybe Roberto Duran on the other side of the spectrum.

Except Floyd's greatest intangible is his brain. He's a master at figuring out and cracking his opponent's style. Can't say the same for the other guy.

    :| Dont be mean....

Seriously, I was just giving an example...I should have came up with a better one! That was the first one that stood out in my mind...I couldnt think of any current MW or SMW that posses those attributes to negate Dirrell skill set.

Those are some pretty good examples!:good

Dirrell earsed his shitty performance against Froch when he boxed beautifully against AA...The only thing that I'm worried about Dirrell is his mental focus...He was getting hit a little bit to much for liking towards the end of the fight with AA...If AA was a little bit more agressive and opened up a little more...He probably would have gotten Dirrell out of there.

Sorry NBA, but I think an accurate, counter puncher(Floyd, would be Paul Williams kryptonite...I like Paul, but he needs to learn to stop leaning in to much and start fighting tall...He has one of the most amazing attributes in boxing with that 82" wing span...He should never be drawn into a war is he would just work off his jab!

I think Floyd's kryptonite is a boxer that has a VERY good jab, throws in bunches and make Floyd fight more defensive (easier said than done) I think this guy would be the late Vernon Forrest (RIP) Forrest had the range, the jab, the combination punching needed to give Floyd fits...The only down fall about Vernon is that he didnt seem to follow through with his gameplan (Him losing to Mayorga kinda proves the point IMO)

A few that come to mind right away:

Tua vs. Oquendo - Slugger vs. Boxer. O was winning decisively, got overconfident and Tua melted him.

Pac vs. Mayweather - Pac has the agility to strike from angles that will be open, the speed to land the shots and the power to make them KO punches. Meanwhile, Floyd adapts better than anyone I can think of and is super slick. Pac has a chance early, but if it goes late Floyd will find an answer to the Pac Problem.

Tyson vs. Wlad - Tyson all day. Mike was amazing at slipping inside and unloading. You need a granite chin to survive that onslaught. Meanwhile, Wlad has the athleticism, technique and power to potentially keep Mike on the outside and frustrate him, causing a confidence implosion and quitting on the stool or TKO ala Lennox/Tyson.
