Not really..... if I want to see it I'll pay for it, but I'm not that fussed for paying to see Mayweather fight at 5am, irrespective of price, especially against an average opponent in Ortiz. I'd pay £25 to see Marquez vs Pacquiao because it's a fight that's bound to be entertaining and one that I want to see. Mayweather always leaves you wanting more, coasting to boring decisions when he ought to be getting people out of there. A bit like Pacquiao's last two fights in fairness.
Pacquiao v Margo and the under card was pretty good value despite the pasting Antonio got. You just never know as I didn't have high hopes for it.
I'd pay £15 my biggest problem is what time the fight is on! I work weekends so staying up till 6 watching the fight ****s me for the next day completly!
I think if the card was a fiver, would it not be a certainty with 3 world title fights on, 15 quid not so sure, but will end up watching tyson fury and possibly james degale and drink my own body weight and think **** it! I always aim to win at least the ppv price during the night anyhow lol
The worst thing is if I do buy I won't be able to sleep and catch the recordings in the morning I will have to stay awake.
I doubt they would. Theres only so many people who would stay up until 5am watching a card like this, making it 5 quid wouldn't change 3 times as many minds about whether its worth staying up for.
The target demographic is those who roll in from the pub after 12 and buy it before they crash out. I mean a fiver is loose change but 15 quid is a couple of chinese meals..
Chinese meals? Well if you put it like that.... TBH my decision is whether the card is worth missing out on a Saturday night and buggering up my Sunday morning. Pretty much every time I've been to the pub and got in late with intention of watching boxing, I've fallen asleep before or during the fights. It was easier to do when I was younger and used to come in from a club at 4am and not have to wait!
I hear you. Our clubs used to shut at 2am in my town. Trying to keep awake for Lewis was a nightmare and I had to watch several the next day. Sometimes it was very familiar so I might have watched some of it but was that drunk I just couldn't remember it:shock: Either that or the commentary was sinking into my unconscious mind as I was crashed out on the sofa:yep
It makes no odds to me. If I am prepared to stay in on a Saturday night or stay sober enough to stay up all night for £5 I would for £15 too. The cost aint the issue, its organising your Saturday and Sunday around a fight. And for this I dont think I am.
