this is unheard of in boxing. let us take a moment to comprehend the weight disparity between welterweight and flyweight.

could you imagine someone like nonito donaire beating oscar de la hoya?? could you imagine chicken boy fraud mayweather beating someone like arthur abraham?

pacquiao is in a class of his own. truly an all-time great.

    :happy:happy

Btw, anyone else feel really bad about having to pick a side for this fight? i'm probably going to be siding with pac, but i absolutely LOVE cotto. i was at his fight against clottey and he showed a lot of heart.

i think it says a lot that pac and cotto are fighting each other while chicken boy fraud mayweather ducks both of them. that's what separates the true fighters from the cherry pickers.

    yup. couldn't agree more.

while pac is in the process of beating all the top welterweights starting with cotto and then mosley, chicken boy fraud mayweather takes on pac's junior lightweight leftovers.

    :lol::lol:

A former flyweight champion beating a welterweight champion who has never been legitimately defeated. It won't be recognized as such just now because of all the hate swirling around, but in time this will be acknowledged as a LEGENDARY achievement.

Pac by KO in round 8.

What Pacquiao is doing can't be denied and he's not rated #1 P4P for nothing. I wouldn't recommend shitting on Mayweather as a fight with Pacquiao is coming and very soon. :smoke

I was skeptical of Pacquiao at first, but he has really proven himself to be a modern-day Henry Armstrong. While Cotto is not "essentially undefeated" a victory over him will be impressive, and if he follows it up with a victory over Mayweather, he will undoubtedly be up there with the Armstrongs, Peps, Alis, and yes, even Sugar Ray Robinson.

i understand the weight thing but seriously, Pac started out young and before his body was fully grown. Thats why he was a flyweight, his natural weight if he started at the same time as most fighters would be around lightweight anyway. i'm not taking anything away from him, he's a great fighter, but i think this has to be considered

but he won a legit title at a tender age against men. now he is fighting at welter which is 10 divisions apart. i dont know how anyone cannot acknowledge this as a great achievment

Cotto's loss is questionable as Margarito was proven a cheater later on. If Pac beats Cotto I'll consider him the first to do it, that would be a HUGE victory.

I noticed you had to select a different fighter than DLH for PBF because obviously PBF already beat better versions Hatton and DLH before Pac.

Also note that Pac isnt a 147 lb champ and that PBF was the linear 147 champ

Not only did he loose to Clottey but Roach wants to fight a 145 so no welterweight belt will be on the line and the abc belt that Cotto was gifted doesnt make him a linear or undisputed champ either.

uh... pac started as a flyweight. donaire is a flyweight. cotto is a welterweight and so was DLH.

chicken boy fraud mayweather didnt start out as a flyweight, he started out at 130. that would mean that the flyweight/welterweight opponent equivalent would probably be a middleweight, so i said abraham. not that chicken boy fraud mayweather would ever risk a loss on his record anyways. that's why he's been ducking cotto for years.

    :yep

I'm a fan of both, and it will be sad seeing a loser. Good luck to both
