Forget all the trolling on here and all the rubbish about gaining a upper hand/advantage at the press conferences and head to heads, what do people think the gameplan from both camps will be? This is how I believe both coaches will want there boxer to approach the fight. Frampton:- Keep it cagey for the first six rounds trying to control the distance with single punches from range and then countering Scott with twos and threes as he comes in. I think Carl will be under strict instructions to take a step back as soon as Quigg comes forward in an attempt to use his superior lateral movement to steal the early rounds. This will be in an attempt to build up a early lead leaving Quigg no choice but to chase the fight. If Quigg is a few rounds behind at the mid way point I hope for his sake he does not come rushing in like a bull in a china shop as his lack of head movement will be easy pickings for someone with Frampton punch variation. Quigg:- Like Frampton, Quigg will be looking to control the range early on, this may be to his advantage as he is the taller man with the longer leavers. I think Gallagger will want Quigg coming forward but not as much as we have seen in previous outings. I see him taking little half steps looking to coax Frampton into throwing. The obvious idea would be to draw leads from Frampton but with Quiggs lack of lateral and head movement he would have to show us something we haven't seen before. I can't see Frampton falling for the sort of traps they have laid and detonated Martinez and Munyai with, so I see Quigg attempting to punch with Frampton using his superior strength and power. I believe Quigg will be happy to allow Frampton to have the higher punching output as he is a big strong SBW who will be able to take many shots on the arms and shoulders and still come forward looking to time his shots. Joe almost gave the gameplan away for me when at the press conference he told Carl "it ends as soon as you engage" So I believe Quigg will be on instructions to punch with Carl. Summary:- In essence I believe the first four rounds are so so important and will dictate the result of the fight. I do believe it would be more disatorious for team Frampton to be behind at the mid way stage as having to chase Quigg would put Carl in great danger of taking the bait and falling into Quiggs perfectly formed traps. If Frampton was to build up a lead then it would not be anything alien for a Gallagher boxer to tuck up and walk his opponent down. I do believe all in all we will have a tense cagey fight that may explode in the later rounds. I am going to stick my neck on the line and go for a Frampton Points win.
I'll be surprised if it turns out to be a war. I expect a cagey fight, at least for the first 8 rounds

If you name somewhere a couple of miles away from where you actually want to meet Terry might turn up by accident. More likely to be hiding under his bed acting the tough man on the phone in fairness.
Nice post, but it seems very recycled to all the other posts I have seen. What really irritates me is the contstant mentioning of 'Frampton's punch variation'. It's alright having this fantastic punch variation, but it's not the be all and end all. Lets get this straight, Quigg has faced awkward opponents before, it's nothing new to him. I'm not to sure how this amazing punch variation going to save Carl when he's fighting someone as relentless as Quigg. Everyone seems to think Quigg's lack of head movement and Frampton's punching variation means game over for Quigg, slightly delusional.
I apologise if it does I haven't read most of the Quigg v Frampton threads as it just seems to always be centred around trying to wind up Frampton fans. I think the main point people are trying to get at when pointing towards Frampton decent punch variation is that Gallagher boxers are known for there lack of head movement (this is a fact we cant get past) You say he has been in with tricky fighters but let's be honest Salinas etc are not on Carls level.
