To be fair in Boxing is different, as you can essentially use just your hands, and there is so much corruption that the bigger, taller guy is allowed to clinch the s**** out of you. But in any other Martial Art, 200+ lbs is more than enough to be competitive at highest HW level. So that saying is completely b.c. As after some weight, it's literally an exchange of speed, agility, footwork, and even balance for power, durability, strength, etc. And the higher the weight goes, there is diminishing returns. But it's all depend on the actual height of the fighter, and his build of course.
