Holyfield looked better than a lot of people thought he would, and needs to be remembered as as ATG. He is the best cruiser of all time and top 15 heavyweight of all time, perhaps higher.

He did well today, he won the last round. It is a fitting ending to a storied career. He simply must retire now. There is nothing to be ashamed of. He should have retired before, but even though he didn't, I think that this makes a good ending for him. He won the last round he was in, he showed heart, you could tell he knew what he was doing but couldn't pull the trigger or apply the skills at this point.

It is always sad to see a great fighter fall victim to time. But it happens to everyone who stays in the game for longer than they should. Holyfield fought decent enough vs. a decent enough opponent for a belt, and had a moment or two to call his own.

He could have done far worse tonight, it seems like he won't be happy until he really, really gets shelled. And it will happen.

Jeffries battered around the canvas, Louis getting knocked out, Ali looking so bad in his last few fights and just taking punishment off of Holmes, I don't wanna see that from Holy.

Wlad vs Holyfield next :happy :happy :happy

J/K I agree. I hope he hangs them up now. He had a glorious career and will remembered by not only one of the best fighters but one of the "Real Fighters" of the sport as well.....but sadly he won't :-(
