I think he'd lose a lot of negotiating power on the purse without his belt. If he is losing even up to 50% on the purse by facing Deontay I agree it could make sense. But from the crowd at Deontay's last fight and the lack of PPV in the USA I think it stands to be significantly more.

AJ should not fight Wilder... To risky right now... He needs to milk the UK scene... Maybe in 2 or 3 years they can fight each other... Wilder still needs to build his name in USA... Just wish the povedkin fight did happen. That would have been a great win for wilder :)

    You boys make me laugh.

You throw AJ's name around like he's an all time great or the GOAT.

If that is honestly what you believe, words like "Risky" and "Vulnerable" and phrases like "a good path" are not what you associate with a boxer of such stature.

Imagine the jealousy of the likes of Wilder, Fury and Haye when they see AJ's star rising now. AJ's drawing and star potential is phenomenal.

he's a 19 fight novice who is the biggest draw in boxing. He needs to be guided right.

I agree with the posts saying he really doesn't need to go to America. Fact is boxing has changed he could go his entire career and not need to fight there, heavyweight boxing in the US is dead due to the demographics of boxing in the US.

It would be nice to break the US and bring back heavyweight boxing to the US public but it's not something Joshua needs to do in regards to legacy because he's a big enough draw in the UK to draw every fighter to the UK including the Americans.

If social media existed back then, similar things could be said at this stage of the careers of Louis, Rocky, Ali, Holmes, both Ks, and probably every other atg

Pretty sure AJ would take on all of the guys you mentioned (he's keen on the Wlad rematch), but a Pulev fight would fulfill one of his current mandatory obligations. That's partly why andrewa1 suggested him.
