TBH outside of Wlad Fury's resume is pretty **** as well and he was lucky with that one Wlad was 40.. prime v prime Wlad KO's Fury early.
By that logic, Wilder beat 10 consecutive word ranked guys and his title run was as legit as any other.
Hyde, Saunders, Peter, Larry Donald, Kirk Johnson, Adamek, prime Arreola (vs Wilder's shot version), Solis isn't spectacular, but it's wayyy deeper than Wilder's resumé. And a marginal technical losing effort to Lewis is better than getting demolished by Fury over 3 fights.
They do not. Bruno and Berbick its debtable I guess. Wilders resume is awful for someone whose supposed to have a lot of title defenses. When you compare him to fighters who were contenders for awhile and champs briefly Wilders resume looks a lot more typical.
WBC rankings lost all credibility when they let Wilder defend against a retired Stiverne who only had 1 fight in 3 years against a nobody. Why was Stiverne 2 aloud to be a title fight he had no right to a ranking at the time he was given the fight as he was so out of shape he was a certain KO win for Wilder then Wilder could say he has KO'ED everyone he has fought
Wilders team done well picking smart match ups until they underestimated Fury, they should have just kept beating up on tomato cans, could have easily beat the 49-0 record if they didn’t attempt to cherry pick some big names that they felt were under done.
Kudos to the guy for the graphics, but someone did the legwork on that years ago (not me I should add) on another boxing forum, THAT SHALL NOT BE NAMED. This is from the hilarious 'Wilder's resume aging like fine wine' thread: Having said that, with him now saying goodbye I think it's past time to be sticking the boot into his can stuffed resume. He's proven his bravery in the Fury fights and aside from his heart and athleticism I do think Wilder's management team deserve props for getting him the career he had. As a genuine character and an American HW with a following he'll leave a gap in the relatively bland HW division
