Bruno won the WBC belt in his penultimate fight off Oliver McCall who should also be in this discussion. Would that Bruno have beaten Wilder?
Prob. I always thought Wilder was hot garbage and that someone who could actually box and punch would beat him easily. When you're getting schooled in rounds by the likes of Gerald Washington it's hard to make a case you'd beat Bruno IMO, I've always thought was underrated as a fighter anyway.
So then you’re as bad as the person you hate? a fighter says he wants to kill his opponent….not really big news. Fury says similar and several have said worse. You just have issues with the guy really.
This is totally fair. Wilder did have a following and was entertaining. Whether or not his following was deserved or his entertainment was full of genuine accomplishments is another story... So long, Bronze can crusher @ellerbe
Bruno was vastly better than the people the Alabama windmill was putting to sleep. If Deontay was european with a record like his then he'd be absolutely savaged by a lot of the people who currently rate him highly over the course of his career. Wilder prob doesn't take the Bruno fight anyway. He'd look to much like a live body. Bruno stepped in and gave prime Tyson something to think about so we know he'd have been willing though.
Bruno wasn't good and would've prob lost to everyone in the current top 10 besides Joyce now (would've lost to Joyce from a few years ago) Bruno gets a lot of nostalgia on this thread it's pretty funny. He lost every step up fight beside McCall who was on crack and only kept getting them because of the fact that he was the only British contender of note. He was a European level fighter who would've gotten smoked by Wilder
Wilder does to Bruno what he did to Dominic Braezele more or less. Maybe not round 1 but he's knifing Bruno out Bruno is too stiff and basic. Also bad gas tank.
You could have said "LEAVE WILDER ALONE" instead of typing this BS. Especially comparing Wilder to Wlad.
Bruno is terrible. This forum is filled with delusional UK fans I'm realizing it more and more by the day
Yes both big and stiff. Bruno was a domestic level fighter. He got exposed every time he stepped up besides vs drug addict McCall. He just kept getting big fights because he was the only contender from the UK. In todays time Bruno wouldn't be a thing. He wasn't even better than Daniel Dubious
