If Arum is promoting both these guys I can imagine him wanting to cash in on both a bit before risking defeat for either. However one thing that would be awesome and possible would be for either Donaire or Rigondeaux to fight either of Nishioka AND Poonsawat in a double header.

Now that would be some match up and Arum could play it as a double header. Only problem is would Nisioka travel!:bbb

If Nishioka is offered a good payday, he will. He did for Marquez, he'd return to the USA for sure if offered an even bigger payday against Rigondeaux or Donaire.

Rigo-Donaire it would only be awesome to the boxing junkies who post on the internet day after the day

no body wants to see that fight. high risk no reward for a rising star Donaire.

now i hope Arum doesnt go back on his word on Nishioka, he was offered the fight and Nishioka wanted more time to heal.

Arum had better give him the damn fight and not another old latino like Arce

its gonna end up like Gamboa vs Lopez. hes gonna keep this fight away from us for so long that one of them will lose and the fight will lose steam

I think you forgot that the name of the game is PRO BOXING , the best should fight the best , Champions should fight Champions and Rigo is a Champion , he's arguably the best 122 at the moment . if you want money then go play some soccer .

Yeah but what if the cake doesn't rise in the oven like the cake for Gamba vs Juanma?

    [/Arum's lazy food-based metaphor]

I don't see Donaire vs Rigondeaux being the most exciting fight so I wouldn't be devastated if it didn't happen but it would be interesting to see how the deal with each others' styles I suppose.

Personally I would love to see this -

Rigo V Poonsawat (Poonsawat is tough and willing to tavel, but he is not unbeaten and could be negotiated. Rigo would travel too but more money in USA than Thailand)

Nishioka V Donaire (Nishioka is a genuine champ and Donaire could get a decent payout on this)

Rigo needs to fight in US, he needs more exposure, going abroad will keep him busy but his marketing will stay low.Big fight in Pac or Cotto underdacrd against someone like Arce or Mares

Sad to say it but you sir are correct.

Gamboa-Lopez has been a long awaited fight last year, but when Lopez got KTFO, the fight died down.

Arum needs to let these fighters fight asap.
