Not because his physic isn't good enough anymore...He's in perfect shape , athletic guy etc... But Inside....Inside his head...he's finished. Add to that his poor Chin....his confidence must be at an all time low. He should just retire.
For real I feel for the guy but 4 ko's in a row ? Cmon on man ...Like I said he should coach he was former UFC Heavy weight champ ..Nothing to be ashamed of !
Shame because he did look very very good early last night I was watching thinking damn Andre may do some things in this tournament. But his chin is even worse then it was before. Im not sure of the exact number but hes had to be KTFO cold 6 times now. I dont wanna see a guy like him get hurt hes been good for the sport now its time to walk away or learn how to keep his ****ing hands up which about 10 years seems unlikely.
He absolutely needs to retire. He's looking like Chuck Liddell now...a guy with a name who's stepping into the cage to get blasted. He's a rich, good-looking dude with enough models to bang to last a lifetime. He needs to put the gloves away or he's going to get carried out of the cage on a stretcher one of these nights. He doesn't just get knocked out...he gets his brains scrambled. There's no sense in risking permanent damage.
It's sad to watch because he always looks like he can be so damn good. I wouldn't even say he has a glass chin. He took plenty of huge, flush power punchers from a knockout artist. The problem is that Arlovski does in fact take a lot of huge, flush power punches. His defense is absolutely horrible. His head doesn't move and his chin is way too easy to find. One huge reason for this is that he is always backing up into the cage, which leaves you nowhere to go, and extremely restricts your movement. It doesn't matter if you have a decent chin or not... you can't just continue eating flush shots like that.
I've noticed that in MMA especially, once a fighter gets that first lights-out-knockout with those barely there gloves, they're often never the same. I've always wondered if it's a concussion carryover effect, a strictly mental thing or a combination of both?
I hate to bring this up but would you consider his punch resustance the worst in the history of MMA...or any combat sports in general? Its fascinating how he cant take a punch, they should study his jaw.
